The optimists might argue that improves Wales' chances of winning their World Cup qualifying group.

The more pessimistic might say it affects their chances of finishing second.

But second place only guarantees a play-off, which Wales have already all but secured after winning their Nations League group.

Finishing second in World Cup qualifying would ensure Wales are seeded for the play-offs.

But surely they've got to fancy their chances of qualifying automatically if Belgium lose tonight?

Levitt and Smith have impressed me in midfield, they've done well on and off the ball. The organisation has been very good. They've gotten back into their shape well when they've needed to. Rabbi Matondo has had a positive influence but Tyler Roberts has been a bit quiet, I'd like to see more from him in the second half.

Wales' decision to leave Kieffer Moore out of their starting side in Belgium prompted a few raised eyebrows given the impact he has made on the international stage.

That's two games in a row now where Wales have come up with some excellent passages of play to score good goals, getting the ball on the ground and playing. We talk about Jonny Williams in an unfamiliar position at wing-back but he got in a great position there to set the goal up for Kieffer Moore.

Patient play from Mexico and Luis Rodriguez has a chance to shoot, but Wayne Hennessey is equal to his 20-yard effort.

A nice run from Rabbi Matondo creates a shooting chance for Dylan Levitt, but his effort is miles wide.

This time it is Mexico who flash in a dangerous cross through Hector Herrera's free-kick, but Wayne Hennessey is able to collect the ball off Tom Lawrence, who knew little about it.

I think you might see Kieffer Moore be substituted off at half-time if nothing else but to protect him.

Jesus Corona shows some lovely footwork and skips past Ben Cabango, but he can't beat a tight angle as he flashes a shot across goal.

Those are the balls in between the backline and the goalkeeper the forward has to go for and maybe they fumble it and you get a tap-in. I've got no problem with Lozano going for that.

Andres Guardado gets clear and could have a clear sight of goal, but Wayne Hennessey rushes out and wins his challenge.
