    Wales 1-0 Mexico

Hirving Lozano of Napoli gets clear and can't quite get to the ball before Wayne Hennessey, but leaves him a little stud on the leg anyway. Lozano has been playing like a bear with a sore head since kick-off. Like I said earlier, there is some needle going on.

It's only a friendly, but some needle is developing on both sides, a few fractious words are being exchanged.

It's a big night in Wales' World Cup qualifying group, with favourites Belgium away against third seeds the Czech Republic.

The game is goalless as it approaches half-time. That would suit Wales if it stayed that way.

    Wales 1-0 Mexico

A lovely move by Mexico culminates with them giving the ball away with a sloppy long pass. That's basically the half in a snapshot. Mexico have been dominant but wasteful, Wales incisive.

After a slightly shaky opening three or four minutes, Wales have settled in really well, playing to their strengths and not letting the Mexicans get in and around them. They're getting in their faces and the Mexicans don't seem to like that.

The two Mexican centre-backs really don't want to be dealing with Moore, they're leaving him to the midfielder Alvarez.

Mexico probing but Wales looking solid.

Kieffer Moore guides his shot across the goalkeeper and inside the far post.

That is five goals in 14 games for Wales for the Cardiff City striker.

Tom Lawrence and Jonny Williams are both seeing a lot of the ball. The experiment is working well so far.

Some lovely footwork from Matondo, Tyler Roberts and Jonny Williams to set up the goal. It was almost like a backheel from Moore into the far corner.

    What a lovely goal!

It's another good move, culminating with Jonny Williams crossing for Kieffer Moore, who shows fantastic footwork to control and fire home. Lovely.

Wales scored a peach in Belgium and this is another cracker.

This is what Jonny Williams and Tom Lawrence are not used to doing - talking to people in front of them, telling them where to go to make your defensive job a bit easier.

    Wales 0-0 Mexico

At the start it looked like Wales were going to sit back but Tyler Roberts and Rabbi Matondo have got quite high and looked to put the back four of Mexico under pressure.

    Wales 0-0 Mexico

Mexico take a corner and it's straight off the training ground with a flick-on at the near post, but it's wide of goal. No panic.

    Mexico 0-0 Wales

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

With Mexico setting the early tempo and bossing possession, there's little to note about Wales so far other than their pressing without the ball.

Whenever Tyler Roberts closes down Mexico's defenders, you can hear Chris Gunter bellowing: "Yes, Tyler!"

You suspect that could be a bit of a running theme tonight, Wales chasing lost causes.

Aaron Ramsey is one of the many Wales players past and present paying tribute to Chris Gunter on social media.

The Juventus midfielder is missing from this squad because of injury, but has saluted Gunter's century of caps.

"What an achievement mate," he writes. "You deserve this moment for all you’ve done for Wales, always available through thick and thin, some unforgettable experiences along the way and here you are, you’ve done it 100 caps. I’m proud off you mate."

Early injury worry for Wales as Tom Lawrence takes a whack. I think he's just winded. He's back on his feet. Phew.

They're playing with such freedom Mexico, it's hard to work out what system they're playing. They're here there and everywhere.

    Wales 0-0 Mexico

Hirving Lozano steals a march on the Wales defence and Ben Cabango gives him a little tug and the referee doesn't give a penalty... but he could have.

A nervous start from Wales, they let one of the most dangerous players on the pitch have space in behind.
