By the way shortly before Grealish's goal, Conor Coady was booked. And it was deserved. Kateryna Monzul has had a busy night.

It's brilliant from Jack Grealish, but huge credit to Sam Johnstone - his quick thinking as he threw the ball to land it on the half-way line.

There was a covering defender, but Grealish dropped his shoulder and just when you think for a moment he has shown too much of the ball to the defender, he muscles the centre-back out of the way.

It's a wonderful piece of individual skill, but also really good play as a team.

This has been a tidy performance. Lots of positive individual performances while England are set to emerge injury-free on the artificial pitch.

  8. Albania set to make England waitpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 9 October 2021

Armando Broja, on loan at Southampton from Chelsea, has just given Albania a late 1-0 lead in Hungary.

What that would mean if it ends like that is England could not book their place at the World Cup this month.

Poland still lead San Marino 3-0.

  9. 'Exciting midfield'published at 21:28 British Summer Time 9 October 2021

It's a great midfield, look at the players out there now after making changes. Saka, Foden, Mount and Grealish as the midfield four playing in front of Ward-Prowse. How exciting those players are. And they are so young as well.

It was a brilliant save. He's gone all the way to his right-hand side, got both hands to it. Unluckily for him, but positively for James Ward-Prowse it bounces back into his area. He was quick to react.

Andrew: How has Rebes stayed on there? Absolutely no intention of going for the ball, eyes completely on Coady the entire time. Surely a second yellow.

Charlie: How is that not a second yellow at the very least? What are the ref and VAR doing? Shocking! He’s clearly not looking at the ball and elbowed Coady. That is a straight red any day of the week.
