Quote MessageI know it's still mathematically possible but I think qualification is gone. You've still got to try and get something out of the last three game. You have to think of the seedings and you want to avoid the bottom two groups, so it's still important and I'm sure Ian Baraclough wants some 'W's against his name.
Republic of Ireland 1-0 Qatar
If you're wondering why the Republic players are decked out in cool blue at the Aviva, it's a special kit to mark the centenary of the Football Association of Ireland.
Bulgaria 0-0 Northern Ireland
Jordan Thompson tests keeper Ivan Karadzhov from about 20 yards with a low drive.
The Bulgarian stopper spills the ball but Conor Bradley had strayed into an offside position and play is pulled back.
Bulgaria 0-0 Northern Ireland
Despodov fires the free-kick straight down the throat of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Paddy McNair, presumably as punishment for fouling the forward, is the ever-glamorous draft excluder under the wall but isn't required on this occasion.
Bulgaria 0-0 Northern Ireland
Kiril Despodov wins a free-kick off Paddy McNair about 25 yards out. This could be dangerous...
Republic of Ireland 1-0 Qatar
Callum Robinson gets the Republic up and running in Dublin!
The man can do no wrong at the moment. Full of confidence after his two goals against Azerbaijan, the West Brom striker completes a neat one-two with Conor Hourihane before unleashing a right-footed shot.
It takes a big deflection and flies high into the net. It's only a friendly, but it sparks an almighty roar from the Aviva Stadium crowd.
Bulgaria 0-0 Northern Ireland
Bulgaria look lively here and break down the right-hand side.
We see the effects of the wet pitch for the first time as the low cross skids away from any attackers and it's out for a throw on the far side.
I'm guessing that won't be the last time we see that happen this evening.
Bulgaria 0-0 Northern Ireland
The hosts get the ball rolling in Sofia.
Republic of Ireland 0-0 Qatar
The Irish players take the knee before kick-off, which is applauded by the fans and the Qatari players.
And away we go!

It's absolutely soaking in Bulgaria. Looks like a grim night for football - the perfect evening to perhaps settle the third-place issue in Group C.

Quote MessageIt's great to see young Conor Bradley starting. It is something we will see for many years to come. I think as you get older you feel the pressure more, when you are young you have a care-free attitude and just want to show what you have got. Being at a big club like Liverpool we have high hopes for him and working with someone like Jurgen Klopp will keep his feet firmly on the ground.

It was Seamus Coleman's birthday yesterday.
Here he is tucking into a lovely Italian-American meal on his first Everton tour after sealing a bargain £60,000 transfer from Sligo Rovers in 2009.
No Coleman for the Republic tonight, though. He's still injured.

With the Evans brothers and the McLaughlin siblings, Northern Ireland fans know all about players sharing the same surname.
However Bulgaria can perhaps top that tonight. Their two centre backs are twin brothers Andrea and Petko Hristov.
There's more twins in central midfield as Radoslav and Borislav Tsonev start together.
Then you add in the three Ilievs in the squad. Atanas starts up top while Dimitar and Ilian are on the bench.
That should be fun to keep track of.
