  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2021

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

Rui Patricio to the rescue again!

On the stroke of half-time, Bernardo Silva is denied at close range with a header by the Wolves keeper and blasts the rebound over the bar.

The whistle goes and Wolves are still in this at the halfway stage.

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2021

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

    No goal!

    It's an incredibly tight call.

Aymeric Laporte's arm is ruled offside as Bernardo Silva flicks the ball into his path.

This will get reviewed but the flag went up. I think he was onside for the initial cross but it's the flick on by Silva that plays him offside. It's tight...

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

Nelson Semedo blocks Kevin de Bruyne's shot from distance and City have another corner here.

They've not done too much with these opportunities so far...

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

Better from Wolves, as Adama Traore collects the ball in midfield and allows his side to look forward.

    Trouble!

Pedro Neto fails to find his man and in the blink of an eye City earn themselves a corner, which Rui Patricio gratefully picks out of the air.

  8. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

Ruben Dias sets Kevin de Bruyne away and the Belgian plays Joao Cancelo through on the left.

Wolves deal with his cross, before the offside flag goes up against Cancelo. Ever the perfectionist, Pep Guardiola is furious with how that move played out.

CityFanSteveO: The only way Wolves are getting any points here is if the coach driver gets done for speeding on the way home.

Mike: Not taking anything away from City, but I get bored stiff watching them pass the ball around for 5 minutes, Wolves boot it up the park.. repeat.

Wolves have been a little bit better on the ball, a little bit more confident. Just get the ball up there - don't worry about the consequences, just ask the question. With Adama Traore up there, they have got the presence - so use it.

  11. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

Some positive signs for Wolves in the past few minutes as they string a few passes together a little further up the field.

Most importantly, it remains 1-0 and they've not gifted City any clear openings since falling behind.

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

    Simon Stone

Wolves have barely been in Manchester City's half, let alone within sight of goal so for Ki-Jana Hoever to deliver such an awful cross just then was disappointing.

The former Liverpool man had been sent running into space down the right wing.

One decent pass and Wolves might even have got into the City penalty area.

At least Wolves (on the right, for the record) have made more passes than Rodri now. They 'lead' 66-47. We'll keep you updated on that competition as it develops.

After that little detour from the action, I can tell you it's very much as you were.

City look offended whenever Wolves get the ball and Nuno's side are enjoying possession for a matter of seconds at a time.

Just a random pub quiz type of thought. Have there ever been any more Portuguese players involved in a Premier League match, than the 10 split across the two squads tonight?

    Adam, Margate

    Well, Adam.

There are more Portuguese players starting tonight’s match - eight - than in any other Premier League game in history.

Get that in the quiz when the local pub reopens.

Richard: I see Wolves are going for the Steve Bruce tactic on how to nick a point. Sit back for 89 mins and then go for the equaliser!

Why do teams not play their normal game against City? Why turn up if you're just going to stick 11 players in your own half and defend for 90 mins?!

So far, Wolves have completed 28 passes.

On his own, Rodri has managed 30.

    That says enough.

Kevin de Bruyne really can create a chance out of nothing.

The Belgian receives the ball near halfway but sends a lofted ball over the Wolves back line which almost puts Gabriel Jesus in on goal.

Not for the first time tonight, Rui Patricio is out quickly to save his side.

I'm sorry Wolves fans, but this feels like a case of how many at the moment.

It's 85% possession for City so far, though Pep Guardiola's side have landed just the one shot on target...
