Ethan Ampadu maybe gets a bit lucky as he blocks John McGinn's shot after Aaron Ramsdale had already started his dive. It could go anywhere but it goes over the bar.

Sherwin Le Monde: No no no no no. I'm a big fan of VAR in general but why is it even getting involved there?? Ref was up with play and dealt with it, villa players not even appealing for a red card tells you all you need to know about whether it was a "clear and obvious error" or no.

Loz Smith: That is utter rubbish. He's about 35-40 yards from goal and the covering defender doesn't look worried. Far too many variables to decide that that is a clear and obvious error. Once again it is poor usage of VAR. Not one Villa player was debating a yellow!

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (20.15)

Crystal Palace make just the one change from their goalless draw with Fulham at the weekend.

James McCarthy replaces Jairo Riedewald in the heart of midfield, while Connor Wickham returns to the substitutes bench.

Crystal Palace: Guaita, Ward, Kouyate, Cahill, van Aanholt, Townsend, Milivojevic, McCarthy, Eze, Ayew, Benteke. Subs: Butland, Dann, Mateta, Schlupp, Wickham, Batshuayi, Kelly, Hannam, Riedewald.

Manchester United make four changes from the side who drew with Chelsea at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson replaces David de Gea, who misses out because of personal reasons, while Eric Bailley, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani also start.

Man Utd: Henderson, Wan Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, Matic, Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Cavani. Subs: Lindelof, Grant, Diallo, James, Alex Telles, Williams, Tuanzebe, McTominay, Shoretire.

What's worse than one red card? Two red cards. David McGoldrick, who has already been booked, takes a big risk by catching Bertrand Traore. Final warning I suspect.

    So close!

Ashley Westwood rattles the woodwork with a wonderfully hit effort. Kasper Schmeichel was beaten this time but the post came to his rescue.

    Burnley 1-1 Leicester

The flag is up for Matej Vydra as Burnley almost get the better of a two-on-two break.

For Leicester, Jamie Vardy continues to struggle to get into this game. He's had just nine touches of the ball, compared to 26 for fellow forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

This could be a long 30 minutes for Sheffield United as Aston Villa prepare to pepper the box with crosses. Matt Targett's cross is caughy by Aaron Ramsdale.

canbewhoever: Not a red card in my opinion and I am an Aston Villa fan but as it’s self interpretation I can understand how he reached that decision.

JeddOwen: That is never ever ever a red card! Jagielka isn’t the last man, he clearly had cover coming across! Sheffield United have been really harshly done by there! Another shocker from the ref!

Not much happening at the moment with Leicester having regained their composure in defence after initially struggling to cope with Chris Wood in the first few minutes of the second half.

Ah yes, the old Villa inconsistency is kicking in as usual then. One thing you can say is that Villa are consistent in their inconsistency.

Sheffield United make a change but it's not a defender, it's Oli Burke who replaces Rhian Brewster, who didn't do much up front.

That was a very difficult decision to make. There was another defender who *might* have caught Anwar El Ghazi but it's tough to tell really.

That's obviously a huge blow to Sheffield United, who need so much to go their way to have any hope of survival.

Anwar El Ghazi shoots from the free-kick but it's caught by Aaron Ramsdale.

  16. RED CARDpublished at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2021

    Burnley 1-1 Leicester

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester are finding it difficult to handle Chris Wood at the moment and Soyuncu, especially, needs to be careful as he was grabbing Chris Wood - and it's a dangerous game to play.

  18. Postpublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2021

    Burnley 1-1 Leicester

Leicester are struggling to get rid of the ball as Burnley put the pressure on. But for a couple of excellent saves by Kasper Schmeichel the Clarets would be ahead again.

  19. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2021

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Aston Villa

They're checking whether Phil Jagielka should be sent off for denying a scoring opportunity. They were about 35 yards from goal and there weren't really any covering defenders.

The ref goes to the screen.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2021

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Aston Villa

Villa have the chance for a quick counter and Phil Jagielka wipes out Anwar El Ghazi. He had no chance of catching him. Deserved booking.
