Other than the odd flurry from Tottenham it really has been all Fulham in these early stages. They're really probing - getting the ball to Antonee Robinson, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is in that little position and you just want him to be a bit more positive and direct at times. He has the ability but you just want to see him be a bit more confident in key areas of the pitch.

    Fulham 0-0 Tottenham

All gone bit quiet now at Fulham with the hosts appearing to take a breather from attacking and are quite happy to let Tottenham have the ball in and around their own half. Fulham, though, are looking very comfortable against Spurs.

    West Brom 0-0 Everton

Diagne and Digne in the same game is already causing a few commentary pronunciation issues.

Phillips has a go from range for the home side. He doesn't quite catch it, though, making for an easy save for Pickford.

    West Brom 0-0 Everton

Diagne is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in attack for the Baggies. His team-mates are punting forward balls at him and he is doing a sterling job to control and find a man.

  5. Postpublished at 18:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2021

    Fulham 0-0 Tottenham

Danger for Fulham as Son Heung-min finds Gareth Bale inside the area and the Wales forward has just Alphonse Areola to beat but the Fulham goalkeeper blocks his shot. Then the flag goes up and replays show Bale was miles offside, so all academic anyway.

    Fulham 0-0 Tottenham

Yet to really see Tottenham's frightening attacking quartet of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Son Heung-min and Dele Alli give something for Fulham to think about here.

Instead, the hosts almost get in again as Ademola Lookman just stays onside but he can't get a shot off before he is closed down.

dax fullbrook: finally José has landed on the correct front 4. Midfield is solid. but why are you changing at the back again??? Reguilón should be a must every game. Davies is another liability.

Rachel T: Expecting nothing less than an 8-0 victory for Spurs, with two overhead volleys each from Kane, Son, Bale and Alli

    West Brom 0-0 Everton

For a second it looks like Richarlison is going to fire Everton into the lead, but after he is found in the box he pulls his shot. The flag is up, though, so it wouldn't have counted anyway. Still a worry how easily he slipped his marker then.

Fair warning - I've just eaten one day out of date chicken so we are into slightly unchartered waters here.

At Craven Cottage, Fulham are still doing the majority of the attacking as Antonee Robinson puts an effort well over. Scott Parker will be pleased with his side's start.

    West Brom 0-0 Everton

It's not the worst start from West Brom. Mason Holgate gives the ball away near his own box before Matt Phillips swings over a cross that eludes a couple of team-mates in the box.

I don't want to do Mbaye Diagne a disservice, but he fits the mould of a striker Big Sam would bring in to try and keep a side up. Big lad, knows how to hold it up and lay it off.

He is quickly into the action but not entirely as he'd like, failing to make proper contact with a header in the box before going down under pressure. It's not a penalty. It should at least have been a save for the Everton keeper.

    Fulham 0-0 Tottenham

Fulham can move out of the bottom three with a win and they look determined from the start as Ruben Loftus-Cheek drives at the Tottenham defence but his shot is blocked and then cleared.

I think Fulham have shown they are playing well enough to stay up. If you look at their first seven or eight games when they had no real defensive players, you look at their form since those players have come in they'd probably be mid-table.

Scott Parker has done a good job of stabilising the team, they have decent players and a back four he can rely on. They just need to score more goals, if they can hit the back of the net with how good they are defensively, they've got every chance.

Not far off kick-off time now everyone. I'm sure you're just as buzzing as we are for another two football games at tea time.

They've just been playing O Fortuna to try and get an empty Hawthorns going. Not sure it worked.

Dele Alli has one good game in Europe when Spurs were 4-0 up from the first leg and now everyone thinks he's back to his best. Feel sorry for Moura, always gives his best, scored in the last 2 league games and now back on the bench....bizarre.,

It hurts to think I'm having to be a Spurs fan for the evening but Fulham need to start losing.

It has taken him a bit of time to get there, but it looks like Gareth Bale might be getting back up to speed.

The Welsh forward has provided four goals and three assists in his last four appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, including two of the former and one of the latter in the 4-0 win over Burnley.

Spurs have been accused of being overly reliant on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min this season. Bale would provide very welcome relief from this if he really does start to fire consistently.
