Jordan Pickford is going off. He hasn't recovered from the dive to try and stop the Gudmundsson effort that hit the post.

On comes 21-year-old Joao Virginia for his Premier League debut. Do you think Burnley might get Wood and co. to rough him up a bit?

Oh, almost for Calvert-Lewin. Allan plays a peach of curling pass with the outside of his boot. It almost drops for the England striker but an outstretched leg from a Burnley defender denies him.

I have been fancying Everton to finish in the top six but now I think we will be lucky to do so.

Calvert-Lewin with another headed effort, this time from an Andre Gomes free-kick. This time the striker glances his effort over.

Just before that Ashley Westwood went in to the book for the offending foul that led to the free-kick.

    Everton 1-2 Burnley

No sign that the Everton goal has changed Burnley's approach. They work another chance for McNeil on the edge of the box but his shot is blocked by Godfrey.

Blocked, in fact, by Godfrey's arm. That's another one where you could argue it wasn't in a natural position and could easily have been awarded a penalty by VAR. All you ask for is consistency.

Richarlison looks to give Burnley a dose of their own medicine with a run and curling shot from distance, but he doesn't catch it like McNeil and Pope can save comfortably.

Si: Burnley are absolutely shredding Everton, Ancelotti needs to re-shape his midfield before this gets completely out of hand.

Surely our home form is relegation form. What are Everton actually doing?

His first act after is almost to pick the balk out of the net again as Calvert-Lewin glances a header past the post of his own net from a Burnley free-kick.

It should be 3-0 to Burnley as Johann Burg Gudmundsson curls a shot from range against the base of the post.
