    FT: Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

For Blackburn though, it's still just the one win in their past 10 league games with that defeat.

The cost of this game may be more hard felt as both Bradley Dack and Lewis Travis appeared to go off with serious-looking injuries there.

They will feel a bit hard done by on the night after creating a couple of decent chances for a leveller plus their appeals for a penalty when Ryan Nyambe appeared to be hauled down by Mads Sorensen.

Nice reading for Brentford fans to start their weekend.

That 1-0 win is enough to take them above Watford and Swansea on goal difference.

And finally - it's all over.

Brentford get the three points they craved from this trip to Ewood Park to take themselves back to second place.

Not the most convincing performance from the Bees, but Ivan Toney's early penalty proved enough.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 90+5 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Blackburn having to see this out with 10 men having already used all their permitted moments to make subsitutions.

Elliott Bennett gets booked for a cynical push in the back of Winston Reid.

    Rovers' furstrations evident.

  9. Postpublished at 90+4 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Bradley Dack has to be stretchered off for the injury he received in that incident.

After some lenghty treatment for the Blackburn forward, we're going to have a bit more time still to play.

  10. Postpublished at 90+1 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

David Raya nearly caught out in his own area in bizarre circumstances.

He was about to clear his lines from the edge of the box when Bradley Dack came sneaking up from behind him to try and steal the ball away.

Raya spotted him at the last second and gave him the shoulder charge.

Dack goes to ground, Blackburn appeal for the penalty. Nothing given.

  12. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Well, three chances for Brentford to kill the game off go begging.

Marcus Forss with the best of them as his close-range header is tipped clear by Thomas Kaminski.

Ivan Toney also fires a low shot into the side-netting. Sergi Canos also has a shot on goal blocked.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Booking for Darragh Lenihan as he trips Sergi Canos just outside the Blackburn area on the left-hand side.

Peter Bickerton: So, Brentford get a penalty for a slight brush of knees but a clear drag back gets nothing? Robbed again.

Jay Lane: Half a shout for a penalty?! Nyambe was hauled down. More a pen than Brentfo.rd's

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Marcus Forss comes on for Brentford in place of Bryan Mbeumo.

    Last five minutes plus change...

  16. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Sergi Canos tests Thomas Kaminski at the other end as he tries his lick on his right from distance.

Bit of swerve and dip on the shot which meant Kaminski had to puch it clear of danger away to his left.

  17. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Blackburn have half a shout for a penalty as Ryan Nyambe tangles in the area with Mads Sorensen as a cross comes in from the left.

The appeals weren't as vocal as you might expect to begin with as the ball was still alive for the hosts.

But Bradley Dack's attempt at a half-volley finish goes well wide.

  18. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Ivan Toney flashes a shot from the edge of the Blackburn box wide left of the hosts' goal.

Would've been some finish that, even if you have already bagged 26 this season.

    Into the last 10 minutes.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 79 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Bryan Mbeumo adjudged offside as he tried to get on the end of Emiliano Marcondes' ball over the top.

Looked very, very tight on the replay that. Mbeumo in the book though for a bit of time wasting as he took the ball away from Thomas Kaminski and his attempt to take the free-kick quickly.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

    Third change for Brentford.

Saman Ghoddos is on for Christian Norgaard while Blackburn bring on Elliott Bennett for the recently-booked John Buckley.
