  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 75 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Into the last 15 minutes. Brentford doing enough as it stands to return to second on goal difference.

First booking of the night sees Blackburn youngster John Buckley receive a yellow for a foul on Ivan Toney.

  2. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Mads Sorensen launches another long throw-in for Brentford into Blackburn's box, but Winston Reid concedes a free-kick for a push on Darragh Lenihan.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Brentford corner into the mixer of the Blackburn area.

Plenty of tussling in the air by Winston Reid and Ivan Toney, but the ball won't drop for either.

Brentford make a couple of changes. Sergi Canos on for Tarique Fosu and Emiliano Marcondes on for Mathias Jensen.

  4. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Ivan Toney penalised for a foul on Darragh Lenihan as he tried to wriggle into some space to get on the end of Henrik Dalsgaard's cross to the penalty spot.

Back at the other end, Harvey Elliott and Joe Rothwell nearly combine again to find an opening for Blackburn.

Rothwell gets the ball at his feet in the area, but can't get a clean contact on the shot and David Raya is down and across easily to gather.

  5. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

David Raya made to make a second save of the half in Brentford's goal.

Joe Rothwell again picks up the ball and drives into space for Blackburn.

A low effort with his right foot and Raya dives down across to his right to stop it. Not the fastest-moving effort, but a decent test of the Brentford keeper's reactions.

  6. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Lewis Travis appeared to take a bad knock in what was his first involvement trying to win the ball off Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.

    Couldn't run it off sadly.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Well, not a happy time for Lewis Travis it seems.

He is heading off injured just moments after coming on for Blackburn.

    Bradley Johnson is his replacement.

  8. Barrow hold on to beat Walsallpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2021

All over at the Banks's Stadium. Barrow have beaten Walsall 1-0 and although they remain third from bottom of League Two, they now have a three-point buffer between themselves and Southend below them, and with two games still in hand.

It also means bottom-of-the-table Grimsby Town are seven points from safety.

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

My word - almost an audacious effort from Ivan Toney from halfway gets Brentford's second goal.

He spotted Thomas Kaminski well off his line from the free-kick and went for the shot.

Nearly emulated David Beckham against Wimbledon with it, but much to Kamiski's relief, he is not 2021's version of Neil Sullivan as the ball lands on the roof of the net.

  10. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Plenty of energy and endeavour being shown by Blackburn, but not much in terms of a way through Brentford's back line for them as yet.

Tyrhys Dolan a real terrier as he tries to pinch the ball out in the wide channels.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 54 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

    Third change for Blackburn.

Lewis Travis replaces Tom Trybull in the midfield.

Bradley Dack goes close for BlackburnImage source, Rex Features

Ball pinging around the Backburn box a fair amount as Brentford look to add a second goal.

Ball into the area initailly from Mathias Jensen just wouldn't sit down for his team-mates.

Back up the other end, Bradley Dack goes very close to levelling the scores.

David Raya gets a fingertip on his low shot across goal as it creeps wide of the right post.

  13. Barrow snatch late goalpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2021

Deadlock broken at the Banks's Stadium - and it could be a big one in Barrow's bid to avoid relegation from League Two.

Josh Kay has slotted the Bluebirds in front at Walsall after racing through, and if they hold on for the final few minutes Barrow will be moving three points clear of the bottom two this evening.

  14. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Joe Rothwell, their other change at the break, looks to inject a bit more pace and drive coming forward.

He surges forward to the edge of the Brentford box, but is eventually dispossed before he can lay the ball off to Harvey Elliott.

  15. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Looks like Harvey Elliott taking up a position wide right for Blackburn, but they've lost a decent bit of height with Sam Gallagher going off.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Brentford

Couple of Blackburn changes at the break.

Harvey Elliott and Joe Rothwell are brought on to replace Sam Gallagher and Ben Brereton.

    HT: Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Blackburn

Nearly time to resume at Ewood Park for the second half.

Ivan Toney's Guiseppe Signori-esque one-step penalty the difference between the sides so far.

  18. Also goalless at St James' Parkpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2021

Goals also in short supply in the Premier League this evening.

They're approaching half-time between Newcastle United and Aston Villa, but nobody's found a breakthrough yet.

Follow the action should you wish right here.

  19. Bournemouth and Watford fined for mass brawlpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2021

Elsewhere in the Championship today, the Football Association has fined both Bournemouth and Watford after the two clubs admitted failing to control their players.

It centred around a mass melee that ensued towards the end of their Championship fixture last month.

Chris: If refs are going to give penalties like Fosu's clash of knees, they may as well give them for breathing. Rubbish.

Have to say, I thought it was a touch harsh when seeing it in real time.
