Chelsea boss Emma Hayes told BT Sport that Maren Mjelde's injury looks "a bad one".

"It is a bittersweet moment," she said. "Maren is a huge person in our dressing room. She is the person everybody looks up to. I hope she is OK. I know it's a bad one. I am devastated."

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes told BT Sport: "We were unbelievable for 60 minutes, the pace, intensity and movement. It was a great team performance across the board. Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr were unbelievable.

"It was a performance of a team that were very confident in what they were doing and I really enjoyed it. We could have scored more than we did. We were exceptional going forward."

Bristol were almost intimidated by Chelsea and that shows the depth that Chelsea now have. It will be a real learning curve for Bristol and they will have to move on quickly because they now need to show fight in the league and try to step themselves getting relegated.

They got off to such a quick start, they kept going and were ruthless. I think Emma Hayes will be absolutely delighted with the all-round performance, the way they made substitutes and integrated into the game quickly. They had to end the game with 10 players and I think Emma will be very proud today.

  6. 'I am so proud of the team'published at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Bristol City 0-6 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea captain Magda Eriksson told BT Sport: "I am really proud of the team, It was a really good performance.

"City tried to be brave and press but they left space to exploit and the strikers did that. It sends a message we are competing on all fronts."

  7. Blue is the Colourpublished at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Bristol City 0-6 Chelsea

The Chelsea players are covered in gold ribbons and singing along to the men's 1970 FA Cup final song 'Blue is the Colour'.

It was as one-sided a cup final as you are likely to see.

It always seems a bit odd winning trophies with no fans.

Player of the match Fran Kirby holds a Maren Mjelde shirt while captain Magda Eriksson lifts the trophy. They are making the most of it, but there's no doubt it's been marred.

  9. More to come?published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Bristol City 0-6 Chelsea

Chelsea are waiting to lift the trophy, the one they won they also won last season.

It looks like the players will be making sure Maren Mjelde is part of the celebrations despite being absent because of that knee injury as the Chelsea payers have a shirt to take up with them.

'Just Can't Get Enough' by Depeche Mode blasts out around Vicarage Road. It seems appropriate with Chelsea fighting for success on all fronts.

  10. 'We are not stopping here'published at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Bristol City 0-6 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea stiker Sam Kerr told BT Sport: "It was a massive team performance. We really deserved it. It was important to score early.

"Fran Kirby has been unbelievable and she has been putting it on a plate for whoever has been playing up front all season.

"She is quality on the ball. She is a special talent.

"We are not stopping here, but we will enjoy it tonight. It's about winning all we can."

I think Chelsea have got a real chance [of the quadruple]. Usually when they get drawn with Wolfsburg you think 'this is going to be really tough' and you almost don't back Chelsea because of Wolfsburg's Champions League experience, but actually, at the moment, I fancy Chelsea's chances.

Chelsea are pressing for a seventh goal now. Sub Hannah Blundell nearly grabs it but her toe-poked attempt on the slide is well saved by an on-rushing Sophie Baggaley.

What Emma Hayes does well is identify talent, whether that's established talent or up-and-coming. She identifies the type of players who will fit the Chelsea system. She has built a solid squad which is capable of anything.
