To be 4-0 down at half-time makes it a real battle going into this second half and you just hope it hasn't affected Bristol too much going forward, especially with such a big season trying to keep themselves up in this league, but Chelsea really have shown their class in this first half.

    Bristol City 0-4 Chelsea

There's some encouragement for Bristol City in attack as they keep hold of the ball with a decent spell of pressure.

The half ends with a City strike well over the bar but that was about as good as it got for Matt Beard's side, who have been utterly outclassed.

Chelsea's Guro Reiten has been receiving treatment after a strong challenge. She looks to be OK though.

There will be two minutes of additional time.

Fran Kirby, like Sam Kerr, is playing like someone desperate for a cup final hat-trick.

She is denied by Sophie Baggaley, who makes a fine stop as she rushes out to block the strike.

The Wales international has some treatment and is carrying on, but limping around a fair bit.

    Bristol City 0-4 Chelsea

It's already looking like damage limitation for Bristol City. They had such high hopes after a good run of form in recent weeks.

But they are being completely outclassed by a rampant Chelsea here at Vicarage Road.

The Continental Cup holders are going to retain their trophy.

Fran Kirby has made two and scored two.

The England striker shows wonderful composure after being played in on the left.

She cuts inside and shoots low, and although keeper Sophie Baggaley half-blocks the attempt, she cannot stop it bouncing up and trickling over the line.

    Bristol City 0-3 Chelsea

Sam Kerr has her eyes on a first-half treble.

Guro Reiten and Fran Kirby link on on the left and Kirby slips in Kerr again, but it's a great block by Gemma Evans to stop the shot testing Sophie Baggaley.

    Fran Kirby (29 mins)

    Game over surely.

That's a horrible moment for City goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley, who takes her time over a clearance and then kicks it straight to Fran Kirby.

She's the not player to pick out. Kirby control the ball, shifts it to the right and places it beyond a backtracking Baggaley from distance. A super finish.

    Bristol City 0-2 Chelsea

There was a thought that Chelsea may look a bit jaded after their Champions League exertions. Not a bit of it. They are pressing deep in City territory and win the ball back.

Keira Skeels rushed to clear a cross and almost slices it into her own net. It's another Blues corner. City survive that and win a free-kick

Here's the danger for Bristol City. They get caught on the counter-attack as Chelsea burst forward.

Fran Kirby takes up a smart position on the right and ends up shooting narrowly past the far post with a daisy-cutter.

A weaving Fran Kirby run comes to noting but some glorious interplay on the left brings threat of a third Chelsea goal.

Sam Kerr's cross is eventually cleared for a corner - which comes to nothing.

    City cannot relieve the pressure.

A penalty shout by Chelsea as Sam Kerr goes down in the box under a sliding challenge from Gemma Evans.

It looked a decent claim that.

Once again Fran Kirby and Kerr combine, but this time it's the Aussie who looks to tee up the England striker.

City manage to clear the danger. The Blues pressure is relentless.

Boss Matt Beard looks a worried man.

    Bristol City 0-2 Chelsea

This could be a very long afternoon. Remember, City have conceded 14 goals in two games against Chelsea this season - and have yet to score.

Matt Beard's side have their first spell of decent possession in attack, but cannot create anything.

    Sam Kerr (10 mins)

Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr combine again.

City lose possession deep in their own territory and Kirby pounces. She slips a pass through to Kerr, who takes a touch and finishes with a lovely, well-directed shot across goal from the left.

So simple and pleasing on the eye.

Magdalena Eriksson almost scores with a header straight from the corner. Poor marking by City.

Things have started very badly for the underdogs. They haven't had a look in.
