Four British sides started the evening with high hopes of reaching the quarter-finals and so far only two are making it - but only just.

Arsenal lost 1-0 at home to Olympiakos but scraped through 3-2 on aggregate.

Spurs fared even worse, losing 3-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia after extra-time.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are only going through on account of away goals as they are level 0-0 away to AC Milan after a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

And we all know what's happening to Rangers.

  8. HALF-TIME Rangers 0-1 Slavia Prague (agg 1-2)published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2021

The warning signs were there in Prague - and repeated early on at Ibrox.

Slavia are an accomplished unit and they probably just deserve a narrow half-time lead that at present has the Czechs heading into the quarter-finals on aggregate.

Peter Olayinka's powerful header gave the visitors the lead as they again exposed young Nathan Patterson in Rangers' right-back position.

Steven Gerrard's side have much to do if they are to reach the Europa League quarter-finals for the first time.

I think Balogun's got away with one there. I don't think he's got the ball, that's a penalty

  10. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 45+1

Rangers 0-1 Slavia Prague (agg 1-2)

Abdallah Sima goes down in the penalty box as the striker gets on the wrong side of Rangers centre-half Leon Balogun.

Nervous moment as Rangers wonder if that might be reviewed on camera, but the game restarts.

Not sure what he could do to get out of the way of that collision with Alexander Bah.

This Slavia Prague team are causing Rangers a lot of problems with their work rate and control on the ball. That's a few times now, though, that they have had to bring down Kent to stop him

A Borna Barisic corner swung into the arms of goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář is typical of how it is going for Rangers at present.

So far, Slavia are doing to the Scottish champions what they did to Leicester in the last round.
