  4. 'We lacked quality'published at 17:21 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    FT: Leeds 2-1 Sheff Utd

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United caretaker manager Paul Heckingbottom to Amazon Prime: "The effort and the fight was there. There were too many moments where we lacked quality. We gave Leeds their best chances on the counter. That was the most frustrating thing. We came back into the game winning set-pieces in good positions but then the quality wasn't there. We were our worst enemy today.

"As the first half wore on we kept winning the ball higher up, but again, we didn't open them up and had too many shots from distance and too many lost balls. In the second half it was similar, but we got opened up again when we didn't fully commit to a break. We couldn't quite put them under pressure."

On Phil Jagielka's own goal: "You have to try and get something on it. It's probably a goal from the striker so you have to commit to that as a defender."

On whether more can be done to deal with concussion: "Probably. But as it stands, everybody follows it. We just happened to get two in a similar position today which was a bit of a nightmare so we had to re-jig. We accept we can't take any chances.

"Maybe there's things that can be done further but we need to be led by the medics on things like that. We have to abide by further concussion protocols now so we'll know more later in the evening."

  5. 'We created a lot'published at 17:15 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    FT: Leeds 2-1 Sheff Utd

    Leeds United

Leeds goalscorer Jack Harrison speaking to Amazon Prime: "Overall we will be happy to get the three points. We could have improved in some areas.

"I think it was a good performance, not only from myself but all around. I think the team played very well, quite solid and we didn’t really concede a lot but created quite a lot in attack and that’s what we wanted to do."

On a tough run of fixtures coming up (Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United): "Yeah, you saw it at the start of the season. We will be looking to do it again going into a tough month.

"It's not something we're not capable of doing. Everybody is up for the challenge."

  6. 'We need to focus'published at 17:14 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Leicester City

Leicester's former Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, speaking to Sky Sports, on signing a new contract: "I'm happy with the new contract and my team-mates and manager. We need to focus on the game.

"It's always good playing against your old team. Manchester City have been good to me and everything, but in terms of football and what we need to do on pitch, we need to focus."

Leicester are in a really strong position but I think the next three games will tell us a lot about them.

They play Manchester City and West Ham in the Premier League, where they sit third with a seven-point lead over fifth-placed West Ham, and they have the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton.

We will know more about their mental strength, how far they have progressed and whether they can finish in the top four after these three games.

  8. Aguero to leave Man Citypublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

Leicester v Man City (17:30 BST)

The big news at the Etihad Stadium over the international break was the announcement record goalscorer Sergio Aguero will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Argentine, who signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has scored 257 goals in 384 appearances for the club.

"Sergio's contribution to Manchester City over the last 10 years cannot be overstated," City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.

"His legend will be indelibly etched into the memories of everyone who loves the club and maybe even in those who simply love football."

He starts today - just his sixth league start of the season. You wouldn't have guessed at the start of the season that by Easter he'd have as many league goals as Nathan Ake.

Win today and Manchester City will put 18 points between themselves and Leicester - although Pep's side have played a game more.

It's just a matter of time before they tick off a fifth title in 10 years isn't it?

Will they win one, two, three… or all four? Manchester City are about to resume their bid for an unprecedented quadruple and one of the things on their side is that - unlike most other teams - they have been here before.

BBC Sport's Chris Bevan takes a look at all the stats to see if Pep Guardiola can land the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup all in the same season.

  11. 'It will be close'published at 17:06 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

Leicester v Man City (17:30 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

This should be an excellent game between two teams who are extremely good at what they do.

Leicester will carry a threat on the break even if they don't see much of the ball - Jamie Vardy's presence ensures that.

It will be close, but I think Manchester City's quality on the ball will see them through - again.

    Prediction: 0-2

  12. 'Highly entertaining game'published at 17:04 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    FT: Leeds 2-1 Sheff Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa, Leeds & Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a highly entertaining game of football, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Leeds were outstanding in the first 30 minutes and I thought Sheffield United came back into it and got that important goal just on the stroke of half-time.

Then Leeds just came out so strong at the start of the second half, got themselves back in front. Sheffield United came back into it again but just couldn’t find that quality to pinch an equaliser.

  13. 'We are fresh'published at 17:03 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

Leicester v Manchester City (17:30 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte, speaking to Sky Sports: "Some players didn't travel [during the international break] because of many things like Covid-19 for example.

"So we have many players who are fresh. I think we are ready. It's a test and we have to compete the way we have done for the last month. Hopefully we can win. It's the final run-in and we have many things in front of us."

    • Manchester City have alternated between defeat (2) and victory (2) in their last four Premier League away games against Leicester, winning 1-0 at the King Power Stadium in February 2020.
