    Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa

It's been a poor second half, since the Liverpool goal anyway. Xherdan Shaqiri comes on for the last few minutes to replace Ozan Kabak.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 85 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa

Clumsy from Ollie Watkins, late and high and he goes into the book. It's been a very scrappy last 15 minutes or so.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 81 mins

Jacob Ramsey, who nearly came on in the first half, does now get on to replace the hobbled Trezeguet.

    Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa

There'll be some well-earned holidays this summer for Premier League players not involved in internationals. Trezeguet is the latest to pull up hurt after he chases a ball into the area. He needs treatment too.

This game has a feeling of a cup tie now. Both teams are going out to win it. Aston Villa certainly aren't sitting back here, they are looking to try and win this. An interesting last 15 minutes for us to enjoy...

This game is 50-50 just now. Liverpool were the better team in the first half but you can't say that is the case now. There is a real positive about Aston Villa - they are almost playing a 4-2-4 now, which considering they are playing away from home against Liverpool, it's really positive.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

It’s a game I’ve enjoyed. Villa have defended well but Liverpool have got back into the game.

The man of the match for me has been Andy Robertson, but the game is finely balanced. It’s anybody’s game.

A change up front then - Roberto Firmino comes off and on comes Sadio Mane.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 73 mins

Mo Salah runs at Matt Targett, twists him inside out and is fouled - the left-back goes into the book. Sadio Mane is about to come on.

Tyrone Mings looks in bother, he falls over and lands awkwardly on his wrist. Looks in pain but he's carrying on for now as Thiago comes on for Liverpool.

The game has really opened up and I like the fact that Villa know that they might as well go for it. If they win this game, they are back in the hunt for the top four or five.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 63 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa

Almost brilliant from Villa! Ollie Watkins holds the ball up and lays it back to Trezeguet, who hits an inspired curler with the outside of his right foot, beats Alisson all ends up and kicks back off the inside of the post.

    So close!

Andy Robertson was the star there. He starts well behind the play, makes a 40-50 yard run, hits it across the face of goal and Mo Salah puts it in.

That was the Robertson of old.

Aston Villa commit men forwards which leaves them vulnerable then to the Liverpool counter. Opening up. Could be an exciting last half hour.

That is classic Liverpool. It was a decent save from Emiliano Martínez from Andy Robertson but too much pace on it and then Mo Salah finishes it. He's not had his shooting boots on today Salah but he's seriously deserved it.
