Massive chance!

From the corner, Ryan Bertrand squeezes in a cross while stretching and it pops off Danny Ings and straight into Sam Johnstone's arms. He knew nothing about that and it was a bit lucky in the end!

Darnell Furlong then fires one over the bar for West Brom. End-to-end.

Now Southampton go straight up the other end through Theo Walcott. He tees up Stuart Armstrong and his long-range effort is parried wide for a corner by Sam Johnstone.

Really, really good football from West Brom. It's one-touch passing through the middle. It comes to Matheus Pereira, who feeds in Mbaye Diagne. He should score but he curls it wide of the right post! Best chance of the match.

Nathan Redmond makes a nice run in behind. His touch takes him wide but he fires it across the box.

Stuart Armstrong scrambles a shot away but it's scuffed. Danny Ings follows up at the back post but he can only flick is along the goalline from a really acute angle. Conor Townsend eventually blasts it away.

Danny Ings hasn't had a sniff up until now. Nathan Redmond drives into the box and it falls for Ings. He gets a shot away but it's wide.

Can't tell what's harder to work out... the Line of Duty plot or VAR.

I have been in touch with the PGMOL re West Brom's disallowed goal.

Because VAR was unable to get an angle that conclusively showed whether Diagne's upper body was onside or offside, the officials have stuck with the on-field decision.

Bet Sam Allardyce is delighted by that.

Kyle Walker-Peters is still dangerous on that right-hand side for Southampton.

He reaches the byline and drills a cross in. Kyle Bartley is there to put it out for a throw-in.

Fraser Forster is being kept busy but a lot of these shots are straight at him.

From another corner, West Brom's Matheus Pereira nods it into his arms from an unmarked position. Kyle Bartley had won the flick-on.

Sky are reporting that because of the positioning of the camera, VAR couldn't draw a definitive line for Mbaye Diagne so it stays with the onfield decision - which was no goal.

Hmm.

Another shot, another corner for West Brom.

Again, they can't capitalise on the set-piece. They are definitely on top here though.

It's floated in from the right and Darnell Furlong glances it wide from an unmarked position at the near post.

That's another chance!

It's excellent from Okay Yokuslu as he wins the ball back on the left and fizzes a cross in.

Conor Townsend can't control it and Jan Bednarek puts him under pressure as it ricochets over the bar.

Just seen another replay of that VAR decision. It looks like they have drawn the lines for Kyle Bartley and not Mbaye Diagne for the offside.

How can you get that wrong - if that is the case?

More nice play from West Brom. Callum Robinson lays it off to Conor Townsend in the box but he hits it straight at the keeper on his weaker left foot.

Mbaye Diagne has had so much bad luck since he joined West Brom, with chances missed and goals disallowed for the slightest infringement.

Now he gets a goal ruled out because someone else is offside.

If he had scored all the chances he has had, West Brom would nearly be out of trouble.
