First real attack for Leeds as Helder Costa does well to bring a high ball to the edge of the area under control. He works his way across box but then runs into too many Liverpool players.
Leeds 0-0 Liverpool
Great run from Fabinho as surges into the Leeds area. He clips the ball to Roberto Firmino but it is behind the forward and awkward and the chance is gone.
Liverpool are getting through the Leeds defence all too easily at the moment, though.
Leeds 0-0 Liverpool
It has been a good start by Liverpool and Illan Meslier is forced to tip over a strong Thiago effort from distance. Leeds then deal with the corner.
Leeds 0-0 Liverpool
Another long ball from Liverpool - they seem to be trying to catch out the Leeds defence early - and this time Roberto Firmino is onto it first. He stabs the ball past Illan Meslier but nowhere near the target. The Leeds keeper did enough to put him off.
Leeds 0-0 Liverpool
Fabinho, back in defence for Liverpool, plays it long as he tries to find ex-Leeds man James Milner. The bounce is awkward for the Reds' midfielder and the Leeds defence is able to clear.
Leeds 0-0 Liverpool
Leeds versus Liverpool has provided some classics - both this season and in decades gone by.
We're under way!
Leeds v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
Right then, there is actually a game on and I've got a funny feeling both sets of players will want to put on a real show of the game we love.
The players are out on the pitch. It's almost time for kick off.

These clubs have an obligation to their country. I love the league format, if clubs leave the English league it will kill the game as a spectacle.
Norwich City have got promoted and a lot of Norwich fans are looking forward to watching Mo Salah, Harry Kane and Bruno Fernandes next season but this takes that away from them.
The Champions League will be watered down. It's going to be a Champions League B competition. What will happen to the Merseyside derby? Liverpool have just crushed Everton. They're killing the game and I couldn't believe what I heard 24 hours ago.

Football is nothing without the fans, Jock Stein once said. The history and tradition of the six clubs, it has been built by the fans and the working classes
How are Manchester United and Manchester City fans going to be able to afford to go on these trips? It's only going to be for the middle and higher echelons.
The clubs have not read the room very well. How can you call it a European Super League if Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and PSG are not in it? It's a closed shop league and it will be boredom eventually.
I get really excited about the Champions League, what's wrong with the structure? People will get bored of Real Madrid v Manchester United if it's every year. If you're an Arsenal fan, you will be finishing bottom every year.

Let's not forget there is actually a game on tonight!
Is there still time for Patrick Bamford to make a case for his inclusion in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2020 squad?
An eye-catching display tonight will certainly not do his chances any harm.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is certainly a fan.
"He's an exceptional player, perfect," he said prior to tonight's encounter.
"His work rate is outstanding and still playing the football on top of that and scoring goals? That's rare."

Do some of the players at Manchester City know the history of the club? When they sign for the club are they buying into what the whole project is, including the community and the fans?
Some players come to clubs for the money so when you ask me how the players will be feeling, it will be split - some will want to play in it.
If you have any respect for Manchester City as a club, and what it's been through and its history you would care about what's happening.
I cannot criticise the Manchester City owners, what they've done for the club is extraordinary, I can't say a bad word, now I don't know if they all sat in a room and came up with this 'great' idea. I can't believe this has been the intention for the Manchester City owners.
I'm not protecting the owner in anyway. If Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have agreed, from a business point of view the owners are going to want a seat at the table so they have to take the backlash.

Tom Sharpe: Feel bad for Klopp in that interview there, being asked what are clearly loaded questions, though that was necessary. Him and his team have nothing to do with it and he is having to navigate a minefield to get people to realise he's not happy either.
Nick Hughes: These owners are cowards, sending players and managers to take the questions & abuse. They don't know what's gone on or why. Klopp knew the questions were coming, doesn't agree with the super league but was incredibly diplomatic

I'm an ambassador at Manchester City. The first word that came to me was disgrace. It has been a whirlwind 24 hours, information was seeping through every hour and I found it disheartening.
From where Manchester City have come from, from Division Two [what is now League One] and Paul Dickov's goal [to win promotion in 1999] all the way to the Premier League and they earned that the right way through hard work, great support and not doing things the easy way and went all the way to winning the Premier League.
Now, having the audacity to believe they should be better than everyone else - I was flabbergasted. We do not have all the information from Manchester City but the overriding feeling is just massive disappointment.

Gary Neville was passionate in his reaction yesterday and he's just as strong on Sky Sports' Monday Night Club just now: “I was half hoping they would rethink it because of the backlash.
“I’m enthused by the reaction. But if they get this through – and these owners have pushed difficult things through in the past, they’re steel-like – it’ll change football in this country forever. Forever.
"We have to now mobilise, organise. Everybody’s got to come behind this. Forget allegiances. They’re trying to take football away from us.”
