    West Ham 0-1 Chelsea

They've found routes to Mendy's goal tough to find, but the game is not yet beyond West Ham.

They have enough players on the pitch capable of unpicking a defence, even one as stubborn as this Chelsea one.

Noel Fitzpatrick: This Chelsea team are hard to beat, but they're hard to like too, wouldn't have that many neutral fans.

Sheffield United v Brighton (20:00 BST)

Sheffield United make just one change for the visit of Brighton to Bramall Lane as Paul Heckingbottom bids to pick up his first win - or, indeed, his first point - as Blades caretaker boss.

Jayden Bogle comes in for Ethan Ampadu as the hosts, whose relegation was confirmed by defeat at Wolves last weekend, look to end a run of six straight losses in all competitions.

Sheffield United XI: Ramsdale, Baldock, Egan, Bryan, Bogle, Norwood, Fleck, Osborn, Stevens, McGoldrick, Brewster.

Substitutes: Foderingham, Lowe, Ampadu, Jagielka, Gordon, Brunt, Lundstram, Burke, Mousset.

Brighton, seeking a win that would take them 10 points clear of the relegation places, make three changes from their goalless draw at Chelsea in midweek.

Top scorer Neal Maupay, Adam Lallana and Jakub Moder all start in place of Dan Burn, Alexis Mac Allister and the suspended Ben White as Graham Potter fields an extremely attacking line-up.

Brighton XI: Sanchez, Webster, Dunk, Veltman, Gross, Lallana, Bissouma, Moder, Trossard, Welbeck, Maupay.

Substitutes: Steele, Burn, Propper, Mac Allister, Izquierdo, Jahanbakhsh, Zeqiri, Connolly, Alzate.

Chelsea make their first change, sending on Hakim Ziyech for Christian Pulisic, who hasn't really been in the game in any meaningful way.

Chelsea sitting much deeper now than they were in the first-half. Not sure inviting West Ham into their half is the right way to go?

Got a lot busy little technicians on the field now have West Ham.

    Changes. Home ones.

Mark Noble and Pablo Fornals depart. Manuel Lanzini and Said Benrahma come on.

An element of the unpredictable thrown into the mix.

Werner looks to make it two for him and his side with a cut in from the right and a left-foot strike on target. It is a good height for Fabianski, who is too good to allow that in at his near post.

    One pass away!

Soucek breaks after a Lingard flick sends him through the middle unopposed. He looks to return the ball to the forward with a pass that would send him in on goal but gets it a fraction wrong, allowing the block.

Good effort from Mount - a dipping shot from range.

Good save from Fabianski - diving to his left to palm the ball down before gathering.

West Ham are starting to follow the David Moyes blueprint. Nearly, almost but not quite enough positivity and bottle when it really matters at the business end of the season.

West Ham really have perked up. Fredericks sees a shot blocked and then Lingard lofts an effort just past the far post from the edge of the box.

If the Hammers can score soon the momentum will be firmly with them.

Jesse Lingard gets all Joe Bryan on us, swinging a free-kick at goal trying to catch Mendy out as everyone expected a cross.

He doesn't catch it right, though, like the Fulham defender did at Wembley in play-off final. Easy save for Mendy.

That Werner chance feels like a potentially pivotal moment. I'm not sure West Ham could have come back from 2-0 down. 1-0 keeps it firmly in the balance.

A West Ham shot on target. Fornals hits it but it is from far enough out that it would take a good hit to score. It is not a good hit.

How is it not 2-0? Well, you'll need to ask Timo Werner.

Mount has a go from range that Fabianski does superbly to save with one hand. It is just a block, though, and the ball comes back out for Werner, who somehow conspires to poke the ball wide of the far post.

It was from an angle and Fabianski was back up quickly, but that is no real defence for the German.

That's the reason he gets the criticism.

The Hammers are certainly looking to affect the game in the Chelsea half more. Coufal gets away down the right but his cross is poor and easily dealt with.

It's crazy to think people were suggesting Mount would lose his place in this Chelsea side once Lampard was sacked. Such a good player. He shows superb footwork to beat Ogbonna near the West Ham box but the defender gets back at him to tackle.
