Suddenly, it is end-to-end. A long ball forward releases Costa for a shot that deflects off Wan-Bissaka and just over. Henderson was beaten.

The corner briefly offers a threat, but Costa's poor pass allows the visitors to clear.

The visitors continue to increase their menace.

Mason Greenwood gets the wrong side of Alioski and opts for an early shot that Meslier is able to save comfortably.

Shortly after, Alioski dies really well to track back and tackle James before he can shoot inside the box.

The play is almost exclusively in Leeds' half at the moment. The home side are having to dig in. The pressure is released as Phillips is awarded a free-kick near his own box.

We've had an hour. It's not been a memorable one.

This time Dan James does that right thing and leaves it for Bruno Fernandes.

He snatches at it and the ball drags wide of the post. He knows that was a chance.

Big chance.

A period of concerted Man Utd pressure ends with Wan-Bissaka turning his man in the Leeds half and sending over a low ball that Fernandes hits first time but wide.

We all know how good a chance that is to a player of his quality.

It has been a game of snapping tackles and niggly fouls so far. Neither side has yet found that truly incisive, quality bit of play to open the other up.

Leeds almost find it, but after getting in a good position down the left, Costa's cross flies through space in the box, nowhere near a team-mate.

Man Utd on top now. Fernandes looks to get a shot away, but dummies once too often, allowing a collection of Leeds players to gather and block.

What a mess. Just take it, one of you. Make your mind up! Leeds get away with it.

For a second James and Rashford look to be through on goal. Neither takes ownership, though, allowing Ayling to come across and tackle.

Rashford actually ran away from the ball, assuming James had it.

A corner is the end result, but it comes to little. Fernandes goes down in the box and appeals for a push. Not sure he has much of a case.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa have switched sides on the Leeds wings. The former is now right, with the latter left.

Only Fulham (16) and Wolves (15) have had more Premier League games goalless at half-time than Man Utd (13) this season.

With them second in the table, what this also shows is that they often turn it on in the second half.

The game is back under way. No change to either side.

Paul Pogba was benched for this game, probably with Roma in mind on Thursday.

He is out on the pitch and lacing his boots up during the break, though.

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "Very good. Our performances have been good. You don't always get what you deserve but the details were good at both ends of the pitch."

On Chris Wood: "He keeps improving for me. Every now and again he eased off but when he plays strong like that he causes problems."

On the clean sheet: "They've had a few question marks because they've conceded a few goals lately but that is a really good base for us to build from."

On moving clear of the relegation places: "I've been sleeping all right. I don't tend to worry too much. It's a season's work. It's how you end up in the season and our focus has to be the next game. It's always been a thing for me. We go into the next one and work really hard to try and get more points on the board."

Wolves

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo: "So many things went wrong. Many, many things.

"There are not many explanations for such a bad performance. We defend bad, very bad. We allowed Burnley to get into the game, we were not practical, we lost second balls and we were always under pressure and never comfortable.

"We lost our focus and things got worse and worse. We were very bad and we didn't do what we wanted to do - not even one time in our offensive game."
