  1. Draw sees Swans move up to fifthpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    FT: Reading 2-2 Swansea

Tomas Esteves' late equaliser was too little too late for Reading - but it could have a bearing on who Swansea face in the play-offs.

The draw moves Swansea up to fifth in the Championship table, whereas victory would have taken them up to third.

With two games left this season, there will still be plenty to play for in terms of Swansea's final league position and who their play-off opponents will be.

    Tomas Esteves

Do Reading have a chance after all?

Sone Aluko's low cross from the left finds its way to the edge of the Swansea penalty area, and fellow subtitute Tomas Esteves meets it with a first-time left-footed strike which nestles into the bottom far corner.

One minute of added time left.

Neat finishes from Nahki Wells and Adam Nagy have Bristol City comfortably ahead at the interval.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 90 mins + 1

    Reading 1-2 Swansea

Jamal Lowe is inches away from putting the game to bed for Swansea as his firm strike smacks into the post.

With time running out for Reading, however, it's unlikely that miss will have a big bearing on the result.

  7. Postpublished at 89 mins

It's just not happening for Reading at the moment.

The ball bounces on the edge of the Swansea box for Michael Olise, but he miscues his shot and it floats wide and over the bar.

  10. 'Outstanding' Ayewpublished at 85 mins

    Reading 1-2 Swansea

Ayew has been outstanding, absolutely outstanding.

He just takes Swansea's attacking game to another level, he seems to do things the other attackers can't do.

  11. goal

GOAL - Reading 1-2 Swanseapublished at 83 mins

    Andre Ayew

That looks like the play-off place in the bag for Swansea!

Left-back Jake Bidwell advances into the Reading penalty area, steadies himself and picks out a fine pass for Andre Ayew, who fires into a largely empty net.

Ayew has had a brilliant impact since coming on, and he looks to have ended Reading's hopes of reaching the Championship play-offs this season.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Reading 1-1 Swansea

    Another two changes for Reading.

George Puscas rand Tomas Esteves replace Ovie Ejaria and Andy Yiadom.

It's all or nothing for the home side now.

  13. goal

GOAL - Bristol City 2-0 Lutonpublished at 38 mins

    Adam Nagy

Like London buses - Bristol City wait ages for a goal at Ashton Gate and then score two in the space of seven minutes!

Henri Lansbury's quick free-kick is flicked to Nahki Wells, whose header is kept out by Simon Sluga but the rebound falls for Adam Nagy to slot in from an acute angle.

  14. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Reading 1-1 Swansea

After a flurry of corners and pushing forward in search of a second goal, Reading leave themselves vulnerable to the counter-attack.

Jamal Lowe gets into the Royals' box and puts in a cross, which just evades Andre Ayew and dribbles wide.

  15. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Reading 1-1 Swansea

Reading are playing with a quicker tempo as they look to regain the lead, and Ovie Ejaria has a shot blocked by Swansea substitute Connor Roberts.

Michael Olise then crosses with a free-kick on Reading's right, which Andre Ayew heads away for a corner.

Olise whips in the corner from the side but again it's Ayew who heads clear.

Reading haven't offered too much since Swansea City equalised, the goal seems to have rocked them, knocked them out of their stride.

  17. goal

GOAL - Bristol City 1-0 Lutonpublished at 31 mins

    Nahki Wells

He's been knocking on the door and Bristol City striker Nahki Wells now has his reward.

Hungary midfielder Adam Nagy beats two Luton players and plays the ball through to Wells, who drills low into the corner past Simon Sluga.

It's only a second home goal in nine home games for Nigel Pearson's hosts.

  18. Postpublished at 74 mins

As things stand, the Swans will secure the final Championship play-off spot with two games to spare.

Reading have 16 minutes - and stoppage time - to find a winner and keep alive their slim hopes of finishing the season inside the top six.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 71 mins

    Reading 1-1 Swansea

Moments after almost scoring, Jay Fulton is booked for bringing down Reading's Ovie Ejaria as he bears down on the Swansea penalty area.

Michael Olise's free-kick hits the wall and goes out for a corner and, from that set-piece, Fulton almost gets himself in hot water again.

He seems to bring Alfa Semedo down at the back post but referee Simon Hooper dismisses the Reading penalty appeals.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    Bristol City 0-0 Luton

That's a brave stop from Luton keeper Simon Sluga to stop Nahki Wells from scoring the opener.

Bristol City forward Wells races onto a lofted ball from Steven Sessegnon and his strike is blocked by the face of Sluga.

At the other end Jordan Clark controls, turns and shoots just wide of the far post for the visitors.
