Reading v Swansea (12:00 BST)
Swansea head coach Steve Cooper says last season's wild night at the Madejski Stadium will have no bearing on today's result.
But he couldn't help but smile as he recalled the events of that momentous evening in July.
Reading v Swansea (12:00 BST)
We mentioned at the start how Reading and Swansea have a track record of producing play-off drama.
The two sides met in the Championship play-off final in 2011, with Swansea winning 4-2 to secure promotion to the Premier League in thrilling fashion.
Then last season, in the final game of the regular Championship campaign, the Swans travelled to Reading needing the most improbably turn of events to go their way in order to secure a play-off place.
They needed to win and hope that either Cardiff would lose at home to bottom side Hull or that Nottingham Forest would be beaten at home by Stoke, all with a five-goal turnaround in Swansea's favour.
On a night of barely believeable twists and turns, this is a reminder of how Swansea pulled off an almighty heist at the Madejski Stadium.
Reading v Swansea (12:00 BST)
Steve Cooper makes three changes to the side beaten by QPR in midweek, with Ben Cabango, Conor Hourihane and Liam Cullen recalled in place of Ryan Bennett, Connor Roberts and Korey Smith.
There is good news for 15-goal leading scorer Andre Ayew, who is deemed fit enough for the bench after missing the Rangers defeat with a hamstring problem.
Swansea: Woodman; Naughton, Cabango, Guehi, Bidwell; Fulton, Grimes (capt), Hourihane; Routledge, Cullen, Lowe.
Subs: Hamer, Latibeaudiere, Bennett, Roberts, Smith, Dhanda, O Cooper, Whittaker, Ayew.
Reading v Swansea (12:00 BST)
Reading make two changes from Wednesday's goalless draw at Luton.
Top scorer Lucas Joao replaces George Puscas up front, while there is a welcome start for midfielder John Swift, his first since February.
Having recently returned from injury with two substitute appearances, Swift comes in for Michael Olise, who drops to the bench.
Reading: Rafael; Yiadom, Holmes, Moore (capt), Richards; Rinomhota, Laurent; Meite, Swift, Ejaria; Joao.
Subs: Southwood, Esteves, Gibson, Tetek, Semedo, Olise, Aluko, Puscas, Baldock.
Reading v Swansea (12:00 BST) and Bristol City v Luton (13:00 BST)
This could be a decisive day in the race for the Championship play-offs. It's sixth against seventh as Swansea City visit Reading.
If Swansea get at least a draw, the final play-off spot is theirs.
If Reading win, they will close the gap between themselves and the Swans to five points with two games left after today.
It's a tall order for the Royals but this fixture has thrown up some high drama recently (more on that later).
In today's other game, an hour later, Bristol City host Luton Town.
Neither side have promotion or relegation on the cards but City manager Nigel Pearson will be looking to end this season on a high as he considers whether or not to extend his short-term contract beyond this campaign.
Without further ado, let's turn our attention to today's first game at the Madejski Stadium and bring you the Reading and Swansea team news.
