Lincoln City skipper Liam Bridcutt talking to Sky Sports:

"It's a rollercoaster of emotions. The first 45 minutes you could see our inexperience.

"We got together at half-time and sorted it out.

"Getting towards the final whistle it was a case of reassuring the lads and they took things on board.

"We've gone above and beyond in terms of our targets this season and we're just relishing it."

  4. Can Imps take final step?published at 17:38 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

FT: Sunderland 2-1 Lincoln (2-3 agg)

What a turnaround that was for Lincoln who were hanging on after that first half.

The Imps have not played in the second tier since 1961 and they're now 90 minutes from getting back there.

Not bad for a team who were playing in the National League in 2017.

  5. Half-time teamtalk changed game - Hopperpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 22 May 2021

FT: Sunderland 2-1 Lincoln (2-3 agg)

Lincoln City goalscorer Tom Hopper talking to Sky Sports:

"The message at half-time was to turn up.

"There were some stern words at half-time and deservedly so. We showed some personality in that second half.

"We rode our luck at times today but we stood up to it amazingly and now it's time to recover and look forward to a trip to Wembley."
