After the start we had, to finish here in this manner has been incredible and I've got nothing but praise for everyone who's supported me this season. You speak about managing the first 5-10 minutes and we did anything but. But our response to it was outstanding. We limited them to very little and the performance typified our whole season.

You don't get to play at Wembley often, so to score two goals is fantastic. It was the worst possible start you can have but credit to the lads, we got ourselves together and then once we're ahead in games we're very good at staying in front. Earlier on in the season he [the manager] was telling me not to shoot!

You have to say it's been quite a story for Blackpool this season and last.

Neil Critchley comes in two games before a global pandemic shuts football down, signs Kenny Dougall who had been training on his own after his release from Barnsley last summer, and then loses six of his first nine league games of the season.

Fast forward to today. A blistering end to the campaign sees them finish third, they concede a calamitous own goal in the first minute at Wembley and come from behind after Dougall scores two crackers.

That's one heck of a ride.

I just thought it's [the own goal] the worst thing that could ever happen - I don't think I could do anything about it. But we put in a great shift and we're deserved winners. We just tried to stick to the gameplan - we wanted to get in behind them and that's what we did

Blackpool's players are receiving their medals and boss Neil Critchley rightly looks a very proud man.

I imagine any Tangerines fans out there feel about 20 years older than they actually are if they've been through many of these finals!

Blackpool continue their love affair with the play-offs - this was their eighth final, three more than any other side, while they've now won six of them which is also a record.

Blackpool return to the Championship after a six-year absence!

They did it the hard way, going behind after 48 seconds when Ollie Turton scored an own goal, but they picked themselves up and Kenny Dougall goals either side of half-time saw them turn it around.

The Seasiders deserved it on the balance of play, Lincoln didn't show enough after their early goal.
