That is quite a stat. Niche, but I like it.

History has already been made at Wembley this afternoon and we're only at the midway point.

There's going to be plenty more drama, no matter what happens.

    Good first half, eh?!

I'm not sure if I'd be saying that if I had a vested interest in either side, mind, but I'm certainly entertained.

The story of the first half must go to Blackpool who somehow have ended the half in the ascendancy having conceded so cheaply inside the opening minute.

Neil Critchley will be the happier heading into the dressing rooms. Who'd have thought that would be the case after the first minute?!

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 30 May 2021

    Blackpool 1-1 Lincoln

That minute passes without incident and we're level at the interval.

Lincoln led after just 48 seconds when Ollie Turton inadvertently turned the ball into his own net from a low Brennan Johnson cross, but Blackpool grew into the game and Kenny Dougall levelled with a fierce low strike.

The Tangerines have edged the half and will be delighted with how they responded to the earliest of setbacks.

  8. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Blackpool 1-1 Lincoln

One minute has been added on at the end of this frenetic first half at Wembley.

  9. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Blackpool 1-1 Lincoln

    It's all Blackpool.

Luke Garbutt swings one in from deep and Demetri Mitchell's great header from 10 yards is held by Alex Palmer down to his right.

    Lincoln need half-time, you feel.

  10. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Blackpool 1-1 Lincoln

Blackpool are consistently winning the ball high up the pitch now.

They work it to Elliot Embleton, whose drilled strike is easily kept out by Alex Palmer.

  11. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Blackpool 1-1 Lincoln

Lincoln's free-kick is half-cleared and Tayo Edun tries his luck from outside the box but it's an ugly strike well off-target.

    Fair play to Blackpool.

They conceded a rather unfortunate own goal in the first minute of a play-off final and, after hanging in there for 10 minutes or so, have been the better side.

Lincoln have had moments but need to regoroup - and they have a free-kick on the right now.

That goal has been coming and I have to say Blackpool deserve it having piled everything they can at Lincoln in the past 15 minutes.

Kenny Dougall races straight to the corner to celebrate right in front of the Lincoln supporters, who are not too happy to see him.

That is a cracking finish. What a final this is!

GOAL: Blackpool 1-1 Lincolnpublished at 34 mins

    Kenny Dougall

    Blackpool are deservedly level!

Jerry Yates holds the ball up well, Elliot Embleton manages to keep the ball with the help of a ricochet and then feeds Kenny Dougall, who lashes a low shot past Alex Palmer with his weaker left foot from just outside the box.

Lincoln keeper Palmer got a hand to it but the power took it past him.

    Blackpool 0-1 Lincoln

Lincoln's Brennan Johnson once again runs at Luke Garbutt but this time the Blackpool left-back comes out on top.

After a first 30 minutes played a searing pace things seem to have calmed down a tad.

Maybe the big Wembley pitch and accompanying heat has something to do with that.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 28 mins

    Blackpool 0-1 Lincoln

Demetri Mitchell is seriously knocking on the door for Blackpool.

First he heads a cross onto the roof of the Lincoln net and this time his powerful effort after a cross finds him unmarked in the box is beaten away by Alex Palmer.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 26 mins

    Blackpool 0-1 Lincoln

Almost a moment of inspiration from Lincoln's Jorge Grant!

The silky playmaker is given space just outside the box to take a touch and bend one towards the top corner, but the ball hits the top of the bar and goes over.

All of Blackpool's good work since falling behind was almost undone.

  18. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Blackpool 0-1 Lincoln

Blackpool are having all of the ball now and doing everything at their pace.

Lincoln have the buffer but wouldn't have wanted things to play out like this after their first-minute opener.

  19. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Blackpool 0-1 Lincoln

Keshi Anderson is brought down around 30 yards from goal and Blackpool have another free-kick in a good position.

Luke Garbutt goes for goal, beats the wall but Alex Palmer gathers with ease.

Now Blackpool have found their feet they actually arguably look the better side.

They've had a few set-pieces but the delivery hasn't quite been there yet.

Lincoln keeper Alex Palmer has had a couple of regulation saves to make, but nothing of note.
