Filip Krovinovic gets on the end of a Nottingham Forest ball into the box and he plays it low into the path of Lewis Grabban.

However, he can't quite work onto placing it into the open net in front of him.

Krovinovic really should have gone for goal himself. That was a chance.

First card of the day goes to Liam Palmer who puts in a cynical foul on Nottingham Forest's Cafu.

Needless. Forest squander the free-kick that follows, mind.

When this game started, I didn't think I'd be daydreaming about what to have for lunch as we approach half-time but here we are.

Julian Borner has just fired across field and out for a Nottingham Forest throw-in rather than play the ball to any number of options in front of him.

I think that sums this first half up.

Anthony Knockaert picks up possession midway through Sheffield Wednesday's half and with Cafu on the left of him, surely there's hope of at least a decent shot on goal for once?

Well, not quite, as he puts too much weight on his pass and the Owls live to fight another day.

As I type this, Lewis Grabban's just put a ball into the Sheffield Wednesday box that the hosts deal with before it eventually falls to Ryan Yates who fires nearer the corner flag than the goal from about 30 yards out.

Adam Reach plays an absolute peach of a low rolling cross to Kadeem Harris as Sheffield Wednesday look to get the first goal in this game.

Under pressure, however, Harris lets fly first time and it goes high and wide.

Suppose I should point out, given you'd never know from the lack of quality in this game, that Sheffield Wednesday essentially need to win to have any chance of Championship survival.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was watching a meaningless mid-table game in November.

Here comes the hoofball, with both sides taking it in turns to head or volley it either side of the halfway line.

Sheffield Wednesday eventually try to work it upfield with a succession of good passing before Barry Bannan flicks it in towards Adam Reach but Nottingham Forest clear their lines as he crosses into the box.

Plenty of movement before Yuri Ribeiro takes a Nottingham Forest throw-in before he eventually plays it to Cafu.

However, no sooner do the visitors try to work it anywhere but the corner, Sheffield Wednesday win possession back.

It's not a fantastic game so far, if I'm honest.

This match has calmed down somewhat in the past few minutes, with Nottingham Forest continuing to hold most of the ball.

However, neither side seem like making much of an impact on goal so far.

Now I've said that, I'm sure we'll end up with a goal soon. Right..?

Lewis Grabban fumbles a quick pass in midfield and concedes a throw-in just as Forest were building another attack upfield.

Another Nottingham Forest free-kick and another that's played short, this time towards Cafu who's unmarked inside the Sheffield Wednesday box.

He turns a low shot which is swept up by Keiren Westwood and the hosts break on the counter, with Kadeem Harris working onto Josh Windass' ball before he fires straight at Brice Samba.

Frantic bit of play, there.

Barry Bannan whips a lovely ball into the Nottingham Forest box but visiting keeper Brice Samba puts it out for a corner.

The corner is sent into the box but Forest do well to clear their lines as Sheffield Wednesday waste their first push upfield so far.

Nottingham Forest win another free-kick on the left flank and James Garner lofts it into the box.

However, Sheffield Wednesday keeper Keiren Westwood easily collects it before any Forest players can get on the end of it.

Kadeem Harris concedes a free-kick to Nottingham Forest in midfield and the visitors play it short across the park.

No sooner is it taken however, do Sheffield Wednesday win possession back.
