Anwar El Ghazi's cross causes problems from the left. Gary Cahill gets in front of it but it falls to Bertrand Traore on the right.

He slips in Ollie Watkins, who spins and smashes it towards the near post. Jack Butland pulls off the save.

Ahmed El Mohamady curls a wicked cross in from the right. Ollie Watkins attacks it but a combination of Gary Cahill and Cheikhou Kouyate get the crucial block in.

Ezri Konsa gets a slight touch on it but it's cleared. Palace can't get out of their own half at the moment. It's straight back to Villa.

Ollie Watkins' cross takes a deflection off Andros Townsend which means Bertrand Traore won't get there.

Gary Cahill has been having a few issues with something on his hand for a few minutes so he's getting some treatment now.

It looks like he might have dislocated his thumb but he's getting his wrist area wrapped up.

Bertrand Traore whips in the corner and Kortney Hause capitalises on a slip from Joel Ward.

He gets to it first and makes good contact but nods it inches wide of the left post.

Villa are swarming the Palace box again. Douglas Luiz has a few crosses cleared before John McGinn wins a corner off James McCarthy.

Andros Townsend carries the ball over the halfway line for what feels like the first time for Palace.

He finds Eberechi Eze in the middle but Matt Targett picks out his pass to Wilfried Zaha.

Palace win it back, it comes over to the right but Christian Benteke nods over the cross.

Matt Targett swings a deep free-kick in from the left. Cheikhou Kouyate nods it away before Ollie Watkins can get his head on it.

Good start from Villa.

Ollie Watkins is in behind straight away down the left. He has time to take a touch and pick out Jacob Ramsey on the edge of the box.

Ramsey tries to place it into the top right corner but he slices it and it's wide. Decent chance!

This is Kortney Hause's fifth Premier League appearance this season for Villa and his first since 28 December (1-1 at Chelsea).

His only goal came in the reverse fixture against Palace at Villa Park on 26 December.

Villa are looking to complete their first league double over Palace since the 1980-81 season, the year they last won the top-flight title.

The Villans haven't scored more than once away from home against the Eagles in the league since a 4-2 defeat in December 1968.
