Kyle Walker-Peters is getting a bit of treatment for Southampton. They have used all their subs.

Georginio Wijnaldum plays a nice ball into space for Andy Robertson. He feeds in Roberto Firmino but the Brazilian tries to backheel it for Sadio Mane and gives it straight back to Southampton.

Alisson's clearance goes straight to Kyle Walker-Peters. It's curled in by James Ward-Prowse but Nathaniel Phillips throws his head at it.

Sadio Mane thought he had a second when Andy Robertson lifts it into the box.

He watches it all the way and volleys it into the net from close range but he's miles off.

There's a three-on-three for Liverpool and Roberto Firmino feeds in Mohamed Salah.

He faffs on it in the box and the chance is gone. They have to settle for a corner.

Moussa Djenepo replaces Che Adams for Southampton.

And here is Roberto Firmino. He's on for Diogo Jota, who has just dragged a shot wide for Liverpool.

Alisson has made some important saves but he makes a big mistake here and gets away with it!

Liverpool try to play it out again but Alisson gifts it straight to Che Adams.

The Southampton striker doesn't catch the strike well and it's a comfortable save for Alisson in the end. Eeek!

Michael Obafemi makes the same run in behind of Nathaniel Phillips but again, Alisson sees it.

He comes out of his box and clears it long.

Andy Robertson whips one in early from the left. Doesn't beat the first man.

No changes from Jurgen Klopp yet. Will we see Roberto Firmino or Curtis Jones?

Southampton are pressing high but Liverpool want to play it out from the back. So far they've done a fairly decent job of it - though Alisson is being hurried.

It comes over to Mohamed Salah on the right but his cut-back is intercepted.

Sadio Mane and Fabinho do all the hard work down the left. Mohamed Salah is marked in the six-yard area but Diogo Jota is free as he sprints in towards the back post. Mane's cross is way too long though.

Southampton break and Ibrahima Diallo strikes it from the edge of the box. Alisson has to make the save.

Fabinho gets the block in for Liverpool this time, preventing Kyle Walker-Peters' shot getting through before James Ward-Prowse dribbles an effort straight at Alisson.

Sadio Mane squeezes through on the left and tees up Mohamed Salah. He gets a shot away in the box but Jack Stephens comes sprinting over to make a crucial block.

Nathan Redmon finds Che Adams on the edge of the box. He turns Nathaniel Phillips and slides in Michael Obafemi.

Alisson reacts to close him down and Rhys Williams boots away the rebound.

Southampton make a few changes.

Michael Obafemi is on for his first league appearance of the year after recovering from injury. Ibrahima Diallo is also on.

Theo Walcott and Nathan Tella are off.

Nathan Tella almost makes the most of a slight touch on from Trent Alexander-Arnold but he wants more time in the box.

Rhys Williams doesn't give him it and Alisson comes off his line to gather it in.
