That would have been embarrassing for West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone.
He was waiting in the centre of his six-yard box for a curling cross. Instead Cresswell whipped his free-kick low towards the corner.
Johnstone would have got nowhere near it if that had been on target.
Burnley 0-2 Liverpool
Dwight McNeil puts an excellent delivery in from the corner. James Tarkowski gets on the end of it at the back post but Nat Phillips clears it off the goalline for Liverpool!

It was a terrific effort, and but for a couple of inches and goalframe paint, West Ham would have gone ahead.

I can't be the only Liverpool fan to think I wouldn't mind a Phillips and VVD CB partnership, Phillips has really been on the ascendency with his performances recently. Shame the same can't be said for Mane.
From a Liverpool fan called Charlie who's given his head a wobble.

Dan Martins: Absolutely gutted for Leicester. Don't think Liverpool will slip against Palace, even in Roy's last game.
Burnley 0-2 Liverpool
Worth pointing out that goal difference could play a big part on the final day if Liverpool end up level on points with Leicester as they currently are.
They could do with netting a few more. After goal difference, it's goals scored that counts.
FT: Crystal Palace 1-3 Arsenal
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson to BBC Sport: “Just before the second goal we were through on goal and hoping for a penalty. That’s how close we were. The two goals were harsh. I think we would have deserved 1-1. It would have been a wonderful end to the evening which has been dominated a bit by my departure.
“It was great. We’d have loved to get something and send the fans home happy. It was pretty obvious they were happy to be here and saw it as a special occasion and a chance to say goodbye and my chance to say goodbye to them. In that aspect it was a huge success but you don’t always get the icing on the cake you’d like."
On managing his boyhood club: “It’s been exceptionally good. I never really envisaged it. From being on the terraces at the age of five and finish managing team at age of 73 – it’s something of a fairytale or like Roy of the Rovers. It’s been a privilege. I’m delighted with the reception they gave me. It seem they appreciated me as much as I appreciated them and that’s a nice feeling.”
On his favourite moment at Palace: “In a year or so I might say tonight was the standout moment. A guard of honour, people cheering you throughout and the reception at the end. Not all managers have experienced that in their life. It was a nice feeling. I’m sure that will mean more to me than the odd game or good performance I remember.”

Tomas Soucek is done by a smart turn from Hal Robson-Kane and the Baggies have a free-kick about 25 yards out.
It's played short to Matt Phillips but his cross is blocked. Not sure why Matheus Pereira didn't just curl that in.
Burnley 0-2 Liverpool
Mohamed Salah tees up Georginio Wijnaldum on the edge of the box but he doesn't hit it first time, instead taking a touch and being forced back as there's a sea of claret and blue in front of him.
