You've got to give the manager great credit for creating such a great team spirit.
We had a great team spirit in Euro 96 and I think Gareth has borrowed some of that.
There seems to be a buzz and happy feeling in the England squad. We haven't always had that with England teams.

It's a team game. There's been many times in my career where I'm gutted to not be involved for my club. But when you get called up to the Euros, even if you're not playing, you're contributing to the team.
You need that positive attitude in the camp.

Then you have the roles of Rice and Phillips, they're so industrial. But a lot of people don't see the passing lanes they cut off. A drop of a shoulder is vital, a lot of people don't see that.

I'm aware of Gareth's pain. I've missed a penalty against Sunderland, that's nowhere near as big but it struck a cord with me.
I've never felt anybody on the team blamed Gareth. I'll never hold anything against Gareth, we should've won the game in 90 minutes or extra time.
