Adam: World in Motion, 100%. I'll be honest, I absolutely can't STAND Three Lions anymore. Makes me cringe so hard! Then again, I also hate Fairytale of New York at Christmas, so maybe I'm just weird?

Francesca Gunn: Three lions of course who doesn’t get pumped when you start singing it… then to follow sweet Caroline and the crowd goes wild!!

Sweet Caroline seems to have become the anthem of England's Euro summer so far!

Why choose between Three Lions and World in Motion? Do you see Southgate (you're the one) choosing between Rice and Phillips? No. Play both. Play both and only good things will happen.

    Dan, Hersham

Let's settle this now: World in Motion is the superior song but Three Lions is a better terrace anthem.

3 lions is lyrically better however it is too downbeat. World in motion is the pumping tune to get you in the mood for a game.

Like both songs but to see Frank and David in the stadium in 96 while the supporters were singing your song must have been magic

England have done well so far. They've been cautious, but it has worked.

Ukraine got a great result against Sweden in the last round but the thing about this tournament is that you are only as good as your worst player.

They have got some very good players, but they have got some ordinary players too.

England haven't conceded a goal yet and Southgate knows his side will always get chances in games - a return to Wembley for the semi-final is beckoning them.

    Prediction: 2-0 England win.

    Ukraine v England (20:00 BST)

Ukraine boss Andriy Shevchenko: “We clearly understand with whom we are playing. England is one of the best teams in Euro 2020, one of the most balanced and has wonderful players.

"We understand that the opponent is the favourite but we also know our strengths. We have already shown in this tournament our character and the principles of our game, and we will stick to them.

" This is the foundation of our team. I know we are facing a difficult game, but my players have character. We will try to show it.”

  13. Shevchenko - a 'failure' in England but a Ukraine legendpublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 3 July 2021

In the summer of 2006, Andriy Shevchenko arrived in the Premier League with a reputation as one of the game's biggest stars.

However, his £30m move to Chelsea didn't really work out and he left in 2008 to return to AC Milan having scored nine goals in 47 Premier League games.

The BBC's article reporting the transfer said he had "failed to make an impact".

However, his reputation back home in Ukraine remained undimmed and 15 years on he is leading his country at a major tournament as a manager, and has guided them to a first European Championship quarter-final.

Just once in this tournament I would love to see Southgate unshackle the Three Lions and make Europe fear us for a change.

    Steve, North East

Plenty of England fans have been saying this given the attacking talent in the squad.

However, given they have got this far without conceding a goal, is it a case of 'if it aint broken, don't fix it' for Gareth Southgate?

  15. Peru and Brazil win at Copa Americapublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 3 July 2021

Let's move away from the Euros for a moment, and Brazil beat Chile in the Copa America quarter-final to set up a last four tie against Peru.

Lucas Paqueta gave Brazil an lead early in the second half before Gabriel Jesus was sent-off within two minutes for a high kick on Eugenio Mena.

Chile piled on pressure but the closest they came to an equaliser was Ben Brereton's header hitting the bar.

Peru advanced after beating Paraguay 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

  19. 'There are 40 million Ukrainians with you'published at 10:31 British Summer Time 3 July 2021

    Ukraine v England (20:00 BST)

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has released a statement before tonight's game against England after he spoke to the Ukraine players via video call:

“We talked, laughed and got focused! Do you know what I’m thinking about?

"The English are often called the 'fathers of football'. But the players in our team are among the youngest at the Euros. So today is a good chance to show that parents have a lot to learn from their children.

"Guys, catch your game, think only about victory, and we will do everything so that you do not forget for a single moment that there are 40 million Ukrainians with you on the pitch!”

The average age of the England squad is actually younger than Ukraine's - though they are both among the youngest at the tournament.
