It's a remarkable story - everybody is giving the players a standing ovation. people have waited many many years for this - football is back. The start of the Premier League and what an occasion.

It hasn't been for Arsenal, they weren't good enough tonight. It was all about Brentford and welcoming them back to the top-flight - didn't they perform. They kept pressure on and kept fighting right until the end and the manager made sure he pushed them and kept attacking and this is what it's about.

This is why football is so special.

Arsenal are already in the changing rooms. It's been a pretty horrible night for them.

The fans aren't going anywhere any time soon. The Brentford players are on a little lap of honour.

It's only the first game but if this is as good as it gets for Brentford, it's pretty good!

Arsenal have been delivering crosses and no one has been able to get on the end of them - when you think that they're missing Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, a real big miss when you're getting crosses in like that.

Sergi Canos and Mads Bech Sørensen get either side of Bukayo Saka as he tries to weave into the box.

He goes down under minimal contact, there's a quick VAR check despite few appeals and nothing comes of it.

Kieran Tierney's shot is blocked. Reiss Nelson picks up the rebound but he can't get one away either.

He hustles for it, it falls for Emile Smith Rowe but he's falling backwards as he tries to lob the keeper.

He slides it back across goal for Nicolas Pepe. He hits it first time and David Raya pulls off a cracking save at the near post.

Brentford are starting to protect some of their main men now too.
