Arsenal had enjoyed possession but it was Brentford who carried the threat and now we have the goal. It was noisy inside the stadium before that goal. Deafening now.

Amazing scenes here that we're witnessing - Arsenal let the ball flick on and didn't make the first contact, Brentford kept the ball alive, they moved it out wide, Sergi Canos cut inside on that right foot and smashed it right in the near post, Bernd Leno was beaten - wonderful strike!

Here's a corner for Brentford. That means all 10 players are in and around the box - something we were used to seeing from them in the Championship.

None of them get to it though. Pablo Mari launches his head at it.

A few nice touches in the box almost creates a chance for Brentford on the right but there's too many defenders in the way.

The atmosphere hasn't dropped off. It's still all singing and dancing. Brentford have been pegged back a little bit but they are just trying to climb up the pitch now.

We have seen some chances from Brentford but we're seeing what we expected from Arsenal now, getting in some good areas, making the pitch really big, looking comfortable on the ball - they're finally getting some passes together.

Emile Smith Rowe links up with Nicolas Pepe before switching it over to Kieran Tierney on the left.

He drills it across the area and it's volleyed back into the centre by Pepe, before Pontus Jansson clears it.

His through ball for Folarin Balogun has to be dealt with by Brentford skipper Pontus Jansson, who concedes a corner.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is in the Brentford stands tonight. He managed the Bees between 2015 and 2018 so I think we can all guess who he's rooting for!

Rico Henry does really well on the overlap for Brentford and chips an inviting ball in from the left.

Frank Onyeka's header loops over the bar but Brentford come back at Arsenal a few moments later - Ivan Toney plays in Bryan Mbeumo but he slices it dangerously wide.

Ben White is nice to the eye and comfortable on the ball. For it to go smoothly when you sign for a club you need a couple of results and your team mates around you. You need to not feel the pressure especially in that centre-back role.

But Arsenal have gone long at the start - they understand the pressure and quick tempo Brentford will set, they're just starting to turn Brentford around.

Emile Smith Rowe lifts it in delicately for Folarin Balogun but David Raya is off his line to gather it in without any fuss.
