It was Harvey Elliott and Trent Alexander-Arnold that linked up again - Elliott played it inside the pitch where Alexander-Arnold made a good run and knocks it round the corner and Sadio Mane's just there - it's a great finish, a cool finish from Mane.
Elliott is playing far beyond his years, his loan last year has helped him mature but playing alongside Jordan Henderson is really helping him.
Sadio Mane
Super, super goal.
Anfield comes alive again at the Reds double their lead in delightful fashion.
It starts with the Rolls Royce Virgil van Dijk drifting a pass out wide to Harvey Elliott, who has been excellent on his full Premier League debut.
The teenager controls and finds Trent Alexander-Arnold, who clips a first-time pass into the area for Sadio Mane.
The Senegal international has only one thought in his mind as he swings his right peg at a bouncing ball to smash a finish into the net.
Points in the bag for Jurgen Klopp's men...you would think.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
That second goal is proving elusive for Liverpool.
Sadio Mane has another effort, this time with his head, but it is not troubling Nick Pope.
Will the Reds start getting a little nervous as the game wears on?
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
Woah, woah, woah. Calm it.
Mike Dean goes to VAR as he asks to have a second look at a coming together between Ashley Barnes and Diogo Jota.
Barnes has his arm on Jota's neck, Jota kicks out at the Burnley man but VAR deems there is not enough for any sort of punishment.
Hmm.

Liverpool have just upped the tempo in this second half and had a couple of good efforts, the front three are just trying to turn it on at the moment.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
It stays out...JUST!
Superb play from Sadio Mane on the edge of the box, working his own opening before drilling a low shot at goal.
Nick Pope makes a mess of the save but the ball bounces off his foot and away from goal to his relief.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
Ooh, delightful footwork from Mohamed Salah after chesting down Harvey Elliott's cross, twisting Ben Mee inside and out but a shot is cleared off the line by Dwight McNeil.
An hour gone.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
Still 1-0 and while it stays that way Burnley are still in it.

This is the sort of game Liverpool couldn't convert last season and it looks touch and go this time, too. Burnley always raise their game at Anfield so Klopp would be delighted to come away with any sort of win.

Well, we were promised rain and it is currently absolutely bouncing it down. It's a good job they completely redid the pitch and drainage here in the summer.
And here's me thinking the start of the season is all about short-sleeves in the sunshine.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
How's it not gone it?!
Virgil van Dijk meets a corner and side-foots a volley towards the back post where Sadio Mane is situated and it looks a tap-in for the forward, but he somehow manages to screw wide from a couple of yards out.

Rebecca Philpot: Mushy peas OR gravy? Both, please!

Almost made in Africa.
Liverpool working it nicely in the final third, Naby Keita slipping a pass through to Sadio Mane but the strike is scuffed.

A crowd of 52,000+ at Anfield today for the first time in 528 days.
Who's working all this out?
Not me, I'm nicking these bits off the guys at MOTD.

It is going to be an emotional one at Elland Road today as Leeds fans say goodbye to some of their own and a host of legendary former players lost during the last 18 months.
The statue of Billy Bremner - a former team-mate of the likes of Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter and Terry Cooper - is adorned with scarves and floral tributes to dads, brothers, sisters, nans.
He is also surrounded by a sea of plaques, each representing fans and groups, some of whom will be here today to join in a minute's applause and more before kick-off.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
Ashley Barnes runs all day, Liverpool defenders should know that and he wins a cheap corner.
But Virgil van Dijk wins a towering header to ease the pressure for his side.
Mushy peas AND gravy, a colleague suggests.
No, no. One or t'other, as they would say in Beeston.
Liverpool 1-0 Burnley
Mike Dean comes over to James Tarkowski as the defender gingerly gets back to his feet.
"Are you OK?" asks the official.
Tarkowski nods and can carry on.
