Chalked off!
VAR has a look and deems Mohamed Salah to be offside from the pass.
It wasn't an armpit or toenail decision so Salah won't be the beneficiary of the more relaxed rules that are in place this season.
Mohamed Salah
Lead doubled.
Yep, they are looking very good indeed.
This is made by teenager Harvey Elliott, slipping a superb ball through to Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian takes a touch a side-foots into the far corner.

Ed Quoththeraven: For all the joy of Burnley starting numbers 1-11, as a player you're given a choice of any number. What they've done is the equivalent of being offered any ice cream in the world and choosing a single scoop of vanilla

The refereeing this season has totally changed - it's like WWE out here! He's just allowing the game to breathe and flow and both teams are up for this and just really going for it now.

Absolutely fantastic header - what movement just to get across the defender - fantastic leap, up high and glances it across him into the net. The keeper had no chance - fantastic goal all round from Liverpool.
Diogo Jota
Breakthrough!
Beautifully worked and The Kop erupts.
Portuguese forward Diogo Jota, who is not the tallest player on the pitch, somehow ghosts in between Ben Mee and James Tarkowski to power home a header in front of Liverpool's famous stand.
Sean Dyche will not be happy with that but Jota takes the acclaim of a packed Anfield crowd for the first time.

Alphonse Rawlinson: For all the plaudits for Dyche are we able to talk about the ugliness of how Burnley play yet. Already it's fouls to break up any flow, it's time wasting to slow the game. I don't know whether Refs need to tighten up or what, feels like football played in wrong spirit
MillsysView: This first 10 minutes has been absolutely typical Burnley football and I’ve got to say that I absolutely LOVE it!
