Bit of a concern for Brighton and their goalscorer as Neal Maupay is fouled and goes down awkwardly. He appears to be clutching his shoulder.

Five minutes until the break. Brighton knocking it around, happy to keep possession and wait for an opening. Watford aren't quite as deep as they were earlier in the half.

Again it's the final ball for Brighton that just isn't quite on the money. Nice passing between the lines in midfield before Neal Maupay's touch is loose and Watford recover.

Watford are a threat on the break but their forward players have been left isolated in attack during this first half, not many options available when they get into the Brighton half.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalscorer Danny Ings speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Great game and improvement from last week and we needed it. As a performance we could be better but just to get the win is huge and hopefully we can keep improving and get some more goals as well."

On his spectacular goal: "I can't tell you about the [set-piece] routine - that would be giving it away! We work on it in training - set-pieces are huge in the Premier League and they can make a difference in these games. It fell to me and I reacted and thankfully it went in the back of the net.

"They were chasing the game so we knew it would be difficult and scrappy but we were professional and we kept the ball when we needed to and kept winning second balls so I think we deserved the win today."

On having the fans back in Villa Park: "It was amazing, absolutely bouncing from warm up to the end. It's great having fans back in, it's huge, especially at home - I'm extremely grateful to be part of this club."

Watching Graham Potter on the touchline and getting a bit of beard envy. His side are looking stylish on the pitch too, but Alexis Mac Allister's return ball to Leandro Trossard is just overhit and it runs off for a goalkick. Brighton had the numbers there.

Neat work from Adam Lallana, winning a corner for Brighton and giving Pascal Gross the chance to deliver from the right this time - Watford just about clear.

Among central defenders since the start of the 2018-19 season, only Lewis Dunk and Virgil van Dijk (both 10) have scored more Premier League goals than Shane Duffy, who now has seven in that time - four of those have been headers.

Slick football from Brighton once more but they're forced wide by the amount of Watford bodies inside the box and Yves Bissouma is ushered out. Good defending from the visitors.

Leeds United

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, speaking to Match of the Day: “We dominated a large portion of the game, more than the opponent but in function of that dominance we should have created more chances at goal and suffered less chances at our goal.

“The public is always a stimulus and the presence of the spectators is very important. It made us very happy and it was very emotional to play in front of them again.

“Our goalkeeper made two interventions that we valued as a goal in our favour today and allowed us to get the draw.”

On the penalty incidents, one given to Everton, one not given to Leeds: “The referee and VAR do what is fair and what they see."

Etebo is back on for Watford, a sprinkling of water across his face seems to have done the job.

Yves Bissouma lines up a thunderbolt and catches Oghenekaro Etebo clean in the chops. Committed defending from the Watford man but that one must have hurt a bit. The medics are on to go through the concussion protocols. That strike was travelling.

Leeds United

Leeds captain Liam Cooper speaking to Match of the Day: “If there’d been another 5-10 minutes we’d have won. We were in the ascendancy and I think we’ve had the chances. We’ll take a point, it’s a bit disappointing but obviously, if you can’t win, don’t get beat.”

“It was unbelievable to be walking out to that atmosphere and energy. They’re our 12th man every single home game. They’ve been starved of football and we’ve really missed them. If it’s going to be like that every game, we’ll be absolutely buzzing."

On the penalty incident: “Dom’s (Calvert-Lewin) initiated the contact, he’s got hold of my shirt and I’ve got a bit of him. It’s one of those things. I was disappointed it was a penalty but I like to think these things even themselves out over the season.

"We can’t grumble about them, we move on to our next game now."

Brentford

Brentford boss Thomas Frank, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It was an intense atmosphere. I think the Crystal Palace fans were good, and our fans were better and backed us throughout the game.

“I think we slightly edged it to be the better side. We only gave one big chance away to Gallagher. We won the ball a lot of times in good areas, but we didn’t have the quality to put a good counter-attack chance together.

“We ended the first half on top, which pleased me in many ways. We need a little bit more confidence and composure. But I think it is a positive that we have another level to take form this game.

“I always want maximum. I think the win was there to take. But it’s a fine point. It’s good to have another clean sheet of course. But I think I need to sleep on it as there’s a slight disappointment we didn’t get the win.”

Everton

Everton boss Rafael Benitez speaking to Match of the Day: “We could have won today, we fought for every ball and little-by-little we had more chances and more control in the game. But, we were also under pressure against a really good team so I'm really pleased with how we reacted and the commitment of the players.

“We’ve had 17 attempts away from home, some really clear chances. Overall we did well against a good team. Hopefully we can continuing improving.

"Marcelo [Bielsa] has been working with his team for three years, we’ve had six weeks here so I’m expecting us to improve but I was really pleased.

“We were expecting the team to start well this season. This was always going to be a difficult game so I’m pleased with four points out of six.”
