It is a swine of a game for Mikel Arteta, to be fair. So much expectation on his side to win, but just so, so much talent in the opposition side.

That loss to Brentford really has cranked up the heat. A humbling here and he'll start to feel the water around him start to boil.

Both sets of players went to their knees when the final whistle went. Physical game today, end to end at times.

United started the game the better and then Southampton grew into it, got in amongst it and took the lead. In the second half United came out a little bit better and Mason Greenwood got the equaliser, clinical with that.

In the end I think it is a fair result for both sides.

Harry Kane goes on his own to the Tottenham fans. He applauds them, they applaud back.

They had to dig in deep for this one, but Nuno's Spurs make it two 1-0 wins out of two games at the start of the season.

It's a disappointing home bow for Bruno Lage, who maybe should have had an equaliser, but spurned their big chance.

Ruben Neves delivers the corner and it is met by Fabio Silva but only for a header that loops into Hugo Lloris' grasp. That's the cue for more home supporters to depart.

Frustrations are beginning to creep in as Paul Pogba goes into Craig Pawson's book.

Jose Sa makes a superb save to parry Eric Dier's flicked header from a corner, before Fabio Silva is released. Davinson Sanchez comes across and drags the striker to the ground to earn himself a booking.

Southampton fans seem pretty content if the scoreline stays as things stand. The home faithful are on their feet as "if you love the Saints, stand up" rings around St. Mary's.
