That was a decent move. Cesar Azpilicueta played it into the box and Marcos Alonso knocked it back for Romelu Lukaku to have his shot blocked.

Chelsea are being put under enormous pressure here. This is happening time and time again, they find Lukaku and he can't find a team-mate.
It's a big problem for Chelsea and I'm not sure, with 10 men, how they rectify it.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
And as I write that nonsense, Romelu Lukaku has a shot but his volley is straight at Joel Matip. Their first shot of the half.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Romelu Lukaku is so isolated up front he's like the guy who dropped the lads off on the moon and had to circle round waiting for them to be ready to be picked up.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Edouard Mendy slips as he takes a goal-kick and Andreas Christensen stops Sadio Mane shooting from 40 yards out.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Corner to Liverpool. This must be exhuasting for Chelsea's defence.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Now it's Fabinho with a shot from distance and Edouard Mendy saves.
And the keeper is again needed to stop Andy Robertson's volley from outside the box.
Non-stop.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Trent Alexander-Arnold plays a cheeky dinked pass over the top and Antonio Rudiger steps in to deny Mohamed Salah. It's fairly relentless for the Chelsea defender.
Now Jordan Henderson curls just wide of the top corner from 20 yards out.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Liverpool for appealing for another handball penalty here, against Cesar Azpilicueta. Haven't seen a replay yet - so don't know if it's a proper shout or not.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea would be happy to see out the game at 1-1 now.
So would West Ham, who will be top if this is a draw.

Liverpool coming wave after wave of attack now with Chelsea no option but to sit very deep.
Lukaku's looking really isolated up front. This was a brilliant game to watch 11 v 11, it's taken something from it with that dismissal, but the home crowd are absolutely up for it.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea have a rare attack through Mateo Kovacic but it ends up being a Liverpool free-kick for Romelu Lukaku being offside.

A very pleased looking Jimmy Tarbuck has just returned to his seat in the Anfield directors' box. The veteran Scouse comic has probably got more to laugh about than the Chelsea contingent at the moment. Might be a long half for them this one.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Woooof. Virgil van Dijk hits a lovely swerving low shot from 35 yards which Edouard Mendy gets down low to save.
The whole pitch opened up for VVD there.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Oooh. Liverpool are knocking on the door now. Mohamed Salah flights in a beautiful outside-of-boot cross and Diogo Jota heads over when he should have done better.
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
Great defending by Antonio Rudiger to get the ball off Mohamed Salah from Diogo Jota's through ball. Rudiger ends up winning a free-kick from Salah near the corner flag.

To the letter of the law, it's a penalty and a red card. The referee went over to the monitor and got it right - Reece James deliberately kept the ball out of the net.

This could be a long half for Chelsea now. Antonio Rudiger heads away a cross and the Blues can't get out.

G.Arthur: No question it's a penalty. Red card? Maybe harsh. But why is James standing on the goal-line with his right arm out by his side. It certainly wasn't down against his body. ANY contact on the arm in that position leaves you at risk of a penalty and red card.
