Everton manager Rafael Benítez speaking to Sky Sports: "We showed good team spirit, organisation and desire. I'm really pleased, we won, clean sheet - lots of positives.

"We had chances in the first half but we were missing the last pass, we improved in the second half.

"Demarai Gray has been working hard in training, he's improving. He has more confidence and he's pushing to play. It's nice having players that train that way, making sure the manager selects them.

"With the penalty, (Dominic Calvert-Lewin) is the first taker, Richarlison knows he's the second one. The main thing is that he scored, we won. We have to compete in training to see who scores more penalties, but at the moment Dominic is the first one."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira, speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew it was going to be difficult. We came here with a really good game plan. In the first half we played with the hand break on, but we were brave enough to put the pressure on them in the second half.

"We deserved the two goals and the point. This game will give us confidence and belief for the rest of the season. There is more to come from this team.

"Conor Gallagher was fantastic. He worked really well and gave use a lot of energy."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm not sure we did enough to win. We probably didn't create enough clear-cut chances. I'm satisfied with the endeavour and work rate. It has been a strange 24 hours to say the least.

"The team we started with was not the one we worked with yesterday.

"We have a number of players who can do it [replace Jack Grealish]. We brought Emi Buendi in because he can do that. We were without the likes of [John] McGinn, [Leon] Bailey, [Tyrone] Mings, it's been a tough week but we have come through it with a point.

"Brentford have scored three goals this season all from set pieces so we were well aware of the threat."

Norwich City

Norwich left back Brandon Williams: "The way we stuck together as a team [was a positive] and we didn't stop until the final whistle went. We scored a [disallowed] goal, I am not too sure about it, but it didn't effect us, we kept on going and like everyone in the changing room I felt we deserved a draw.

"At the time I thought it was a perfectly fine goal. I felt [Kasper] Schmeichel had no chance even if Todd [Cantwell] was in his way, but I will have to watch it back.

"I am really happy that the manager had trust in me to play me today and i hope I can bring some results.

"We have got competition all over and that is important with a squad with such a long season.

"We are getting better with each game, I think the international break gives the boys a chance to clear their heads and hopefully we can come back against Arsenal and get points on the board."

Newcastle United

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's crazy. Football is harsh at times.

"We still haven't learnt our lesson. It's obviously frustrating - everyone is frustrated but it's the way it's going at the minute. Sometimes it happens, you've got to find a way to get a result.

"Things aren't going our way for the minute but we have to dig in over the international break.

"You're always vulnerable when you have just scored but as professionals they shouldn't be nicking it late on like that.

"We had enough chances in the game. We are conceding too many goals at the minute. We need to work harder to make sure that stops because it's disappointing when you score what should be a last-minute winner and then it gets taken away.

"[Jamaal] Lascelles has tried to stop a last-minute goal. We're all behind him and we stand together as a team.

"It's nice to wear the number nine shirt and it's nice to score at the home end. I'm happy with the positives to get on the scoresheet but at the end of the day, we didn't really get the points."

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta celebrates his 32nd birthday by making his 300th Premier League appearance.

He is the fourth player to reach this landmark for Chelsea, after John Terry (492), Frank Lampard (429) and Petr Cech (333).

Azpilicueta is the fourth Spaniard to do so, after Cesc Fabregas (350), David de Gea (341) and David Silva (309).

"It's lovely for me to help the team with this goal. It is a nice pressure. I took the responsibility to take the number 10 shirt from Jack [Grealish], who was a great player. I will do my best to help the team get results.

"It's brilliant for the team and the club to have these young players. Carney [Chukwuemeka] deserves to be in the squad and play today. We are really pleased with our squad and hopefully in the next games we get better results."

Brentford

Brentford goalscorer Ivan Toney: "I'm over the moon. First goal in the Premier League. I am here now. I have worked hard for this and hope to stay here for long.

"We gave Emiliano Buendia too much time and he did what he does. Every game we go into to try and take three points. We have a winning mentality, whether it is Aston Villa or Manchester City."

Great game, great energy. We've seen goals, we've seen flair, good finishes, in the end it's probably a fair result. Buendia's finish was magnificent.
