There was some booing when the two sides took the knee before kick-off but it was rapidly drowned out by loud applause.

That may be a running theme throughout the season with Premier League clubs agreeing to continue taking the knee as a symbol of their "unity against all forms of racism".

Steady start by both teams as they settle into this. Zack Steffen is the busier of the two keepers but he's not been seriously tested.

Tidy by Harvey Barnes as he powers forward into the box.

It looks like Bertrand, Soyuncu and Amartey will be playing as a back three which we thought would be the case. That will mean James Maddison will have to play a bit wider than he normally likes behind Jamie Vardy.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to ITV: "It's brilliant to be here. Obviously you have to earn it, we had a history-making day here last time so it's nice to come back playing a fantastic team.

"We had a horrendous incident during the week with Wesley (Fofana) being out. He's such a brilliant young player who has been outstanding for us.

"Daniel Amartey will play in defence today. Wherever he has played for us he does his very best. Jonny (Evans) is out as well so it has not been ideal, but we will do our best."

Leicester are appearing in their second Community Shield in six seasons. Only Manchester City themselves have been in more in that time.

They do so after winning the FA Cup for the first time in their history and off the back of a campaign when they secured a second successive top-five finish for the first time in almost 100 years.

They have every right to say they are currently among the elite of the English game.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers speaking to ITV about Jack Grealish: He's a marvellous player. I just said to him 'make sure you buy your mother a bunch of flowers'. He has really developed and matured into one of the world's best players for me. It's always sad when as a club you lose a top, top player but I'm sure he will do very well for Man City and was a great servant to Aston Villa.

Part of the reason Phil Foden plays so well for Manchester City is because of the players he has around him - he always has runners going this way and that, providing him with options and giving him space.

Jack Grealish at Villa, he always had to make something happen on his own, and often did. He can turn a game on its head with his dribbling as well as his delivery, and he is just top notch in tight spaces.

Foden is exceptional and he is going to be one of the main men for City for years to come - but there is room for Jack as well.

No Phil Foden today because of injury but can he and Jack Grealish play in the same Manchester City team together?

RB Salzburg boast a very impressive list of former players who have gone on to make a major impact in Europe's top leagues.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland and Liverpool trio Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino are just a few Salzburg graduates who have established themselves among Europe's elite.

Zambia striker Patson Daka will now hope to become the latest player from the Austrian side to shine on a bigger stage after signing for Leicester in a deal thought to be worth £22m.

Outside of his own country and the Austrian league, where he has been playing since 2017, the 22-year-old arrives as a relative unknown.

But, with 61 goals in all competitions in his past two club seasons, could Daka be the man to share the goalscoring burden that has fallen heavily on Jamie Vardy over the past few seasons at Leicester?

'He could follow Mane's route to stardom' - read more about Patson Daka.

Really looking forward to seeing Patson Daka in action this season. Hearing good things about him. A long-term replacement for Jamie Vardy?
