    BBC Sport

Chelsea are closing in on sealing the return of Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge.

It is understood agreement is close on a deal that could be worth €115m (£97.5m) in total - just short of the British record £100m Manchester City paid Aston Villa for England midfielder Jack Grealish on Thursday.

There are some details still to be resolved but providing there are no unexpected problems, Lukaku will return to the club where he spent three seasons from 2011, although two of those seasons were spent on loan at West Brom and Everton.

Liam Crane: Wembley-bound for the Community Shield. Always funny games as it is still the end of pre-season, it's *kind of* a trophy, and some teams are more bothered than others with it. As a neutral, I'm just gutted I won't get to see Kevin de Bruyne play live!

    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

It was a much more serene walk down Wembley Way than the carnage we saw during the last football match staged here - the Euro 2020 final.

There were no errant flares or flying trees, from what I could see, with Leicester and Manchester City supporters mingling along the route to the stadium.

The curtain-raiser to the new season featuring last season's Premier League champions and FA Cup winners will give us some indications to where both teams are, though Pep Guardiola has named some very unfamiliar names in his squad today.
