Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United is not a welcome one for all.

A banner supporting a woman who accused footballer Ronaldo of a sex assault has been flown over Old Trafford during his return game for Manchester United.

The Level Up feminist group said they wanted to "remind crowds" of rape allegations against him.

Kathryn Mayorga said she was assaulted by him at a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.

In 2019, US prosecutors said Ronaldo, who denied the claims, would not face charges because they could not "be proven beyond reasonable doubt".

He was linking up heavily with Raul Jimenez and Nelson Semedo, who he played through for that big chance at the end of the half.

"There was the penalty - a lot of things. We will learn from that. In the end it is a bit painful but we have to learn from this defeat and stand up together.

On Tanganga's red card: "When he got the first yellow he has to adapt but he is full of talent and will learn from that."

Crystal Palace goalscorer Wilfried Zaha tells BT Sport: "I've been practicing. I don't see why I cant take penalties so I'm happy I managed to take one and score for the team."

On his battle with Japhet Tanganga: "I've seen him play before. He's strong, fast. As a winger you've got to think fast but I enjoy battles. I'm happy today we came out on top."

On the improvement under Patrick Vieira: "I feel like we just believed in the process. If we continues playing the way we do and opening them up the chances will come, we've just got to take them. If we're scoring goals, everyone is happy."

On the double training sessions under the new manager: "I can't say it's enjoyable but the results are showing."

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira tells BBC Sport: "It was a really good team performance. We worked hard, we worked well, we created chances and I'm really pleased with the goals we scored. Taking the three points against a good Tottenham side is really good for us.

"At times we had some issues about the players they had in between the lines. Overall it was a really good team performance."

On Wilfried Zaha's performance: "He was fantastic today. He worked well out of position when he got the ball at his feet. He was a huge inspiration from the team today."

On Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher: "Conor loves football. He's got a lot of energy and he would play well under any manager because of the passion he has for the game. The energy he is bringing to the team is fantastic."

On Odsonne Edouard scoring twice on his debut: "We knew he can score goals. He showed it when he was at Celtic but you will have to give Christian Benteke a lot of credit. He played well and then Edouard came on and scored the two goals.The team performance today is something I will highlight."

On his experience as Premier League manager so far: "It's going to be challenging. The Premier League is really challenging. Since I've been here I am surrounded by people who have experience in the Premier League and lovely people. I have really good staff around. We are not going to get carried away because there is still a lot of work today. We will enjoy it because the players deserve that win then we will work again on Monday morning."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BBC Sport: "Even before the penalty we had problems. We were in control of the game in the first half but with problems. There is no need to find excuses. We didn't play well.

"The result is a consequence of the decisions during the game. The referee does his job the best he can and I am not going to comment on that. We have much things to improve. The next game is Rennes. Let's compete."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BT Sport: "We made a lot of mistakes. It was not a good game. The referee is something we don't speak about.

"Today we did not play good. We did not find a way to play in terms of possession. We controlled the game in the first half, and at the beginning of the second half the idea was to have more attacking situations. We did not achieve that.

"We have to step up and improve."

Asked what the situation with Son Heung-min was, Nuno added: "The club is going to do a statement."
