There were thousands of Manchester United fans on hand to greet Cristiano Ronaldo on his arrival at Old Trafford.

Only those lucky enough to get right at the front - and right in the corner - got a decent view of the Portugal superstar as he got off the team coach and took the handful of strides into the stadium.

    The atmosphere is growing.

Specs: Never a 2nd yellow. He pulls out and puts his foot down. Nonsense decision. Crowds are back, because that's the only reason he's been sent off there.

    Chance!

Christian Benteke's ball through the Spurs box falls for Jordan Ayew in space but with the ball taking a while to drop it allows Dele Alli to get across and block the shot.

Harry Kane is well placed to clear Gallagher's dipping delivery into the box.

Palace will continue to press forward, though.

Spurs weren't attacking before being reduced to 10. They're unlikely to start now.

Conor Gallagher is deemed to have fouled by Dele Alli near the Spurs box. Not much contact, though.

    Chance for Palace to deliver...

Appalling performance - regardless of result here this has been appalling. Anyone know what Bryan Gil has to do to get on the pitch? This side is bereft of spark especially with Kane clearly on strike

This is a golden chance now for Palace to claim a first win of the season. They were on top even before the red card.

Abu: I'm sorry but how does Zaha get booked for that? Tanganga had zero intent to play the ball and just pushed him over. Of course he would react to it. Officials are useless in this league.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

So that is both of Tottenham's starting centre-backs gone now, with the earlier injury to Eric Dier. Spurs send on Ben Davies to play there with Joe Roden. Harry Winks is sacrificed.

Frustration has boiled over for Tanganga there, he tried to play a simple pass through the lines, it got blocked and he lunged in recklessly.

  18. RED CARD FOR TOTTENHAMpublished at 58 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

Silly, silly boy. Japhet Tanganga is off!

Three minutes after being booked for the incident with Wilfried Zaha, he flies into a late tackle on Jordan Ayew. It wasn't the worst foul you'll see, but he'd set himself up for it.

He just needed to keep calm for a bit, let the Zaha moment pass.
