We didn't see replays of the challenge, we don't know what it was like. I feel for Elliott; as soon as there was contact he looked over to the bench to say 'help me'. It was so distressing.

Pascal Struijk is still on the pitch, looking on with concern as Harvey Elliott continues to take medical attention.

Fellow Dutchman Virgil van Dijk comes over and has a consoling word with Struijk, patting his compatriot on the head before the Leeds man walks off the pitch.

Mohamed Salah knew instantly that something was wrong, as soon as Harvey Elliott went to turf. Jurgen Klopp quickly knew it too, leaping to his feet as the rest of the Liverpool bench put their hands to their heads.

You just have to hope that Harvey Elliott is OK here.

On first viewing, it looked like an honest challenge for the ball between the two players.

VAR had a look and because of the injury that the challenge has caused, Leeds defender Pascal Struijk is off.

Oh no, this is a horrible one for Harvey Elliott, coming off worse in a challenge involving Pascal Struijk.

It looks a really bad injury, the physios ran on before the referee could stop play.

Mohamed Salah ran towards Elliott then had to cover his eyes.
