Waaaaaayyyyy! Everyone loves a comedy, failed Rabona. Raul Jimenez gets to the byline and tries to cross using the move, but ends up on his backside.

Always makes you think of David Dunn at Birmingham and Steve Bruce laughing at him.

I mean, the assistant could definitely have just stuck his flag up there. I know they want to let play flow and allow VAR to clear up later, but do your job man.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 9 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Brentford

I think everyone in the ground knew this was going to be ruled out. Brentford are allowed to continue, despite Bryan Mbuemo being a few yards off. He sets up Ivan Toney, who's finish is nice but pointless.

Adama Traore has taken control of the ball, held it up, the defenders bounced off him. You have to get numbers around him; it is the only way to stop him.

    Wolves 0-0 Brentford

Adama Traore has already shown just how tough he is to get off the ball when he is on it. He beats a man with ease at the byline, but can't find a final ball.

Brentford are no slouches when it comes to attack either. Ivan Toney flicks on but Bryan Mbuemo can't get to the ball.

Just think how unstoppable Michael Owen would have been had it not been for injuries!

I'm looking forward to seeing this iteration of Wolves under Bruno Lage. The parts I have seen this season have been encouraging in a 'make loads of chances and somehow not score' kind of way.

To sum that up, the home side get forward and work an opening for Marcal that he curls miles wide.

P Mak: Not even an Arsenal fan but if you watched Abou Diaby, you could tell that he was a proper talent. I know it wasn't one injury, it was many, but I think his name needs to be mentioned. I really think he could have been the real deal.

It is Sergi Canos who floats a cross in from the free-kick, but Jose Sa is out to claim.

Alain Saint-Maximin last night, Adama Traore this lunchtime. We're being spoilt with our big, quick, skilful dribblers.

Brentford on the front foot, though. Sergi Canos wins a free-kick in the Wolves half.

Wolves were gifted their first goal by Watford last time out but they played pretty well in that game anyway. I think they will pick up another win here. Brentford's last-gasp defeat against Brighton last week might have taken the wind out of their sails a little bit.

    Prediction: 2-0

MrDasMach: Yannick Bolasie would have been brilliant if he hadn't had those series of injuries at Everton. Loved him at CPFC.

After 20 months on the sidelines with a knee injury, England and Manchester United defender Phil Jones is taking another tentative step towards a first-team return today.

He played in an Under-23 game at Arsenal last weekend and today he is featuring in a similar match against Brighton.
