Watford

Watford manager Xisco Munoz to BBC Match of the Day: "We said before we needed maturity. We created many chances and it was good. We scored three times.

"Sometimes you need to stay 100% focused in a game. Everybody knows what the pressure in the Premier League is. We know what our job is.

"Keep going and working very hard to give better performances in future. I think today we tried to play the mature players – the more experienced ones - we knew this was an important game. I think it was perfect, we were better in our levels.

"Sarr is our important player. He had more chances to score more. It’s important, this attitude, he’s working hard every day. I’m sure he can score more.

"This season we have a challenge. We need to connect with our group, with our fans. We knew we had some difficult moments. We need to give 100% or maybe 200%. We need to work very hard. This season we can do it.

Everton's unbeaten start is on the line today, the Toffees have a depleted squad following numerous injury issues.

Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It was a hard-fought victory at a really tough place. You have to be ready for a fight. In the first half we had some really good periods when we were really dominant and should have scored more goals. In the second half we gave the ball away cheaply too many times.

"We have players who are not at their strength playing in this type of game, but they did their best and we got the win. I’m very proud of them defensively and I’m really pleased with the win.

"It’s two wins in a row, two clean sheets. Let’s go again. We have a lot to catch up!"

On Burnley's overturned penalty: "The assistant was saying straight away it’s not a penalty. You have to overturn that."

On Martin Odegaard's qualities: "He scores, he has quality to find pockets and he works so hard. He’s becoming a real leader in the team."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira, speaking to Sky Sports: "I can't be pleased. When you concede from three set-pieces. When you come here and concede from set-pieces you can't expect to take anything. We came back in the second half and tried. We had a couple of chances but we couldn't score.

"There were key moments, the chances we created at the beginning. Scoring first may change the game. A couple of referee decisions can also have an impact. There is a lot of frustration. But we had a better game today than against Chelsea.

"It is a difficult place to come. We created chances. But conceding from set-pieces is something we can't accept."

Norwich City

Norwich manager, Daniel Farke: "It was a tight game, there was 50/50 possession. We should have defended the cutback a bit more.

"If you provide mistakes in this level, you will get punished.

"We've conceded too many goals, there was too many mistakes, we had the better chances to lead.

"We have got to be self-critical, we can't give goals away. The first point is to be self-critical in order to improve."

Arsenal

Arsenal goalscorer Martin Odegaard, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "When we got the free-kick I immediately went to the ball. It was a big moment and a nice moment to see it go in. You need to hit it pretty perfectly, with the right speed and the right height.

"The game was kind of a war in the end. We know their strength. We played their game a little more than our own game. In the second half they played their game and they’re good at it. We need to be a little bit smarter when we win the ball.

"I believe in this team. Even though we lost some games in the beginning, I’m not too surprised we’ve got some points now."

Southampton

Southampton's James Ward-Prowse on BBC Match on the Day: "We wanted to come here this weekend and be brave. We have gone toe to toe with them before and they are not used to playing teams that press high, get after them and have a go. We had great week in terms of preparation and that preparation paid off and we got a really good, hard-fought point against a great team.

On the overturned penalty and red card against Man City's Kyle Walker: "It was a strange one for me that it can go from a red card and penalty to absolutely nothing. Surely there has got to be something in between.

"What was more important in that moment and when De Bruyne came on, you could feel the energy lift inside the place but we remained calm and stuck to the game plan. That could have been a big turning point for them but we used it to our advantage - stayed cool and stayed calm and saw the game through."

On seeing Sterling have a goal ruled out the other end: "It's a hard one - we have seen a lot of marginal offisides given and I think the benefit of the doubt goes to the strikers nowadays. It went our way today and we will take the point."

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think it was a good performance. I feel like a broken record saying that lately. In the first half we didn’t do a lot wrong. In the second half I thought we smothered the game. It’s head-scratching that we didn’t score.

"We created a couple of good-ish chances. We took the game on fantastically well, but you’ve got to find that killer edge. I thought we defended very well today and limited Arsenal to very few chances, which is difficult to do.

"It’s very rare that we dominate a game today like we did against them. That clinical edge in both boxes is important. That was a really strong performance in the end."

On Maxwel Cornet's debut: "I thought all the subs made an impact. We want that, of course. It was nice to get him on and I think he enjoyed it."

Watford

Watford goalkeeper, Ben Foster: "For the team today it was a huge win. We picked ourselves up really well today.

"It's a new team, there's been a turn around, its inevitable in football and I think some of the players we've brought in - Danny Rose, Moussa Sissoko - real good, experienced players."

Southampton

Southampton striker Adam Armstrong speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought it was a penalty, but VAR can see it better than us. It is one of those days, we got the point and it is a massive point coming here. We've just got to move on. I thought we did well today; we created chances, but to get a point away at Man City is brilliant. We've got to take the positives and move on."

On stopping Man City's rhythm: "We pressed high and showed them we weren't afraid. The gaffer wanted us to create chances that way. With my chance, I felt lucky to get the shot off and on and on another day it goes through the goalkeeper's legs. I feel good; I scored on the opening day so hopefully I can get a few more."

Liverpool

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am lucky to score so many goals against Palace. Most important thing was the three points. Right place, right time. I am lucky. And happy. Thank you to all the fans, club and staff. Without them I am nothing.

"I would love to play against Crystal Palace. I am lucky. It would be great to play them every single weekend. In my head I am always thinking it is possible. I will keep trying and trying and trying.

"I think people are not wrong saying Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United as well for the title. We will try to be our best and at that level."

Rafa is known for having a disciplined team, a well structured team. Everton, I feel, have had good players for a long time but have found it difficult to get the right balance. He seems to have got that with Allan sitting in and given Doucoure a bit more freedom - and his assists and goals this season have been a surprise package.

What I really like is his signings - Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray. Fans maybe turned they noses up at them and maybe weren't as happy, as Everton are known for spending a lot of money. But they have been real quality.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith speaking to Sky Sports about Emiliano Martinez and Emi Buendia returning to the sqaud: "Unless they were mentally and physically not good then they would be in the squad. They came back in the early hours of the morning, had a good sleep, very refreshed and I had no qualms in putting them in the squad."

On sticking with 10 of the 11 players who faced Chelsea: "We set ourselves a standard. I felt the scoreline was unjust and on reflection watching the game back we made some mistakes for goals but overall I thought the performance was really good and we can take an awful lot from it. We look athletic and have a good shape and good balance about us and create good goal scoring opportunities so why not stick with it?"

On whether Villa's season starts now: "We started four games ago. We've had to deal with some problems but each club has its own different problems. We are in a place now where we know we can change things from the bench with the depth of the squad. The health of the squad is better now and if we need to change the system we can change that from the bench."

Watford fans have witnessed their side take opportunities when it mattered - especially Ismaila Sarr’s spark in the second half, taking loose balls in the area and scoring with them.

If Norwich can’t pick up opportunities like Watford did, it will be a long season for them.

Everton

Everton boss Rafael Benitez on Jordan Pickford, Richarlison and Seamus Coleman missing tonight's game through injury, tells Sky Sports: "We suffered after the Burnley game. With the Tackle of Tarkowski, Richarlison was complaining about his knee and from blocking Wood, Pickford has a problem with his shoulder. Seamus Coleman at the end of training felt his hamstring. We are really disappointed because the day before they couldn't do it and we lost three players.

"It's always a problem but you have to find solution. Also without Dominic Calvert-Lewin then we are managing the situation and hopefully will be fine."

On experience coming into the team in Begovic and Iwobi: "I'm fine with that. I'm not complaining because I trust this group of players but when you are doing well to lose players like this is not nice."

On Aston Villa: "They did well against Chelsea apart from the final minutes. They will be dangerous and we expect that they will attack for sure."

There were some big roars at Anfield today, but the one that met the announcement over the PA system that Manchester City had dropped points to Southampton was pretty loud.

Lots of supporters still mingling around inside Anfield taking selfies. They sense this could be the start of another special season.
