    Oops. Sloppy by Rodri.

He gives it away in the middle, Ruben Dias has to slide in to stop a two-on-one, then Noa Lang fails to keep the ball in play by the left touchline.

The Dutch winger would have been away.

A few early touches for Jack Grealish on the left. He looks inside for Phil Foden, who flicks it across to the other side of the pitch as City try to open up some space.

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BT Sport: “This is a short competition, it’s not like the Premier League. It’s just six games [in the group], so when you don’t get results in one or two games it’s complicated.

"We know how tough this competition is, but we have four games left.”

There seems to be a real attitude within Bruges of not being starstruck. They faced Messi, the best player in the world for a long time alongside Ronaldo, and a host of other brilliant players, but didn't seem to care. They just played their own game. They're not going to walk out against City and say 'wow, it's Kevin' or 'wow, it's Sterling, Grealish'. They'll just say 'no, you have to play against us'. They will be fearless, they're at home so there will be a brilliant atmosphere and I think it could be a really special night.

Charles de Ketelaere has been billed as the heir to Kevin de Bruyne's throne by Belgium football fans for the past few seasons.

It was hugely symbolic then, that it was De Bruyne who provided the assist for De Ketelaere's first goal for Belgium last Sunday in the Nations League third place play-off against Italy.

As De Ketelaere and De Bruyne embraced, it felt like a coming-of-age moment for a player expected to be Belgium's next superstar.

'King Charles', as he is already known in his homeland, will go head-to-head with De Bruyne tonight, but why is he rated so highly - and how good could he be?

Club Bruges v Man City (17:45 BST)

Manchester City are third in Group A with three points, having beaten RB Leipzig 6-3 but then losing 2-0 to Paris St-Germain.

Club Bruges are second with four points.

"What we have seen is physicality and they know what they have to do," said Pep Guardiola.

"They have a lot of quality up front. We go there, we have four games left and 12 points to fight for to qualify for the last 16.

"This is the target and our mentality will be the same. We want to make them adjust and control the game with how we play."

When England lost to Italy in the final of Euro 2020 on penalties there were several iconic images that will remain permanently etched into the narrative of that summer.

City need to get Kevin de Bruyne on the ball, in the game, controlling it as much as possible. It will be special for him. Every player tries to take every game as a normal game, but when you go back to your homeland, it makes a difference to players. He'll want to enjoy it and show that he's capable of being seen as one of the best in the world - which he is.

Kevin de Bruyne is returning to his native Belgium for a club fixture for the first time since he left Genk for Chelsea in 2012.

"I'm excited to go back home," he said.

"Obviously people will always set the standard higher and higher because of what we've won in England in the past five or six years. People expect us to win the Champions League. We've not won it but we are trying.

"Hopefully in my period here we can get one. It doesn't define your legacy - maybe for people outside. I'm happy with what we've done as a club for the past six years."
