The players are too powerful. When the going gets tough they do not care.
They just play whatever the want to play. The top three are amazing footballers but they don't work hard enough.
PSG made mistakes constantly in the second half. You have to give Real credit because even when they are down they stay in the game.
We have seen managers come and go and they cannot sort it out. They come, they get knocked out of the Champions League and get sacked and then move on.
You can't have four or five not fancy it when the going gets tough.

Real have not been at the top of their game for a few years but the club has the know-how and belief when they go into a stadium.

Ederson may have been happier to see Scott Carson playing in the Champions League than Scott Carson himself.

Two of the elder statesmen at Real Madrid really did get the bit between their teeth, and dragged them. The finishes from Karim Benzema, and the second goal... Luka Modric runs from his 18-yard box, past about three PSG players and makes a world-class pass that only he could produce.

This isn't something that is a surprise because we have seen this time and again in the knockouts of the Champions League as PSG press the self destruct button.
It is mentality, maybe the culture of the club. This isn't something that is new at the club. They have fantastic talent in the squad but when the mentality isn't right on the day, you have to stay in the game. They didn't do that. It is part of the ingrained culture at PSG.

Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti also reach the quarter-final stage of the Champions League for a 12th time as managers.
That equals Alex Ferguson's record (12) for reaching the most quarter-finals among managers.

10.5 seconds it took Karim Benzema to score Real Madrid's third goal from the kick-off.
Insane. Absolutely insane.

We were all salivating over Kylian Mbappe - the most devastating player at the moment - but in the second half Karim Benzema comes out and says 'no, no, no I'm not done yet!' He bangs in a hat-trick.
There's wily characters in that Real squad. Look at Luka Modric, ageing like a fine wine! But Benzema is the most complete number nine for me. He does every part of the game fantastically well.

Sho: Camavinga made a massive difference when he came on. Gave Real Madrid the bite in midfield they were missing. Allowed Modric to roam free.

Manchester City captain Fernandinho to BT Sport: "It's important to keep playing good especially after we played against Manchester United. Everyone wants to keep going in that direction. We played the same way we always play. The second half we scored but it was offside and they had more chances. But that's football, sometimes you don't get lucky.
"It just shows the great work Manchester City have been doing with the academy. They have been training with us and know the way to play. They felt really comfortable playing with us. I'm really happy for them tonight. I hope they can play more often for Manchester City.
"I am happy to play tonight and I hope I can get more minutes."

This game will go down in history. We have seen some unbelievable Champions League ties and this is another one.
I couldn't see any way Real could get back into this. They didn't look like scoring but then Karim Benzema... What a player!

It was a brilliant evening for Karim Benzema and particularly Real Madrid.
We expected PSG to unravel. They did what they always do, when they come under pressure, they melt away.
There was no organisation and no leadership. Another historic night for Real.

After 60 minutes, you couldn't see Real Madrid getting back in the game. A sloppy bit of play by Gianluigi Donnarumma and some incredible finishes by Karim Benzema, and the ball by Luka Modric...
What a game of football.
