Look at the fans. It is three times now that Benzema has done that to Marquinhos. The fans are off their seats, the flags are in the air.

  2. CLOSE!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 1-1 PSG (1-2 agg)

Almost a quick second for Real as Karim Benzema puts an effort just wide.

The Bernabeu is bouncing and PSG are going to have to show some real character now to try and see this out.

That is a huge error. Gianluigi Donnarumma is taking liberties with world-class players and that is what happens.

    Game on!

Gianluigi Donnarumma makes a mess of a clearance under pressure from Karim Benzema and Real have the ball through Vinicius Junior inside the box and he picks out Benzema, who slams in from close range.

The Real fans let out a huge roar. The hosts are back in this!

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Sporting are starting to have a bit of a go now. Paulinho finds Marcus Edwards. It comes to Pedro Porro on the right but his cross doesn't quite fall for Matheus Reis.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

One hour on the clock, 30 minutes to go. Real Madrid need to find a goal soon before this tie runs away from them.

Kylian Mbappe is almost away again until Dani Carvajal shoulders him off the pitch. As clear a yellow as you'll ever see but that was the only way Carvajal was stopping Mbappe from getting away again.

Manny: No way is Mbappe doing that tonight. My word what a player he is and will be

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

Real make their first changes of the game as Rodrygo comes on for Marco Asensio while Toni Kroos makes way for Eduardo Camavinga.

There's some concern over Kylian Mbappe, who is down holding his shoulder following that last-ditch David Alaba challenge but he's up and OK eventually.

  9. 'Really clever midfielder'published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Izzy Christiansen
England and Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I've been really impressed with Manuel Ugarte tonight, with regards to his play and his screening of the back line for Sporting. He's been really good when Sporting win the ball back, at winning fouls and playing forward passes. Really clever midfielder.

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

    Jonathan Woodgate

Mbappe must have given Eder Militao three yards. But the burst, the acceleration...it was a brilliant covering tackle from David Alaba.

Some of the fans on the outside of the pitch are clapping Mbappe. The fans here appreciate top players.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Ooft. An immediate impact from Marcus Edwards. He drives at Oleksandr Zinchenko, beats him with pace and a sharp turn of acceleration but he scuffs the shot. It's comfortable for Ederson in the end.

  12. Postpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

Kylian Mbappe is just flowing with confidence and he looks certain to score as he gets in-between two defenders before David Alaba recovers with a brilliant last-ditch tackle.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Marcus Edwards, a former Spurs player, is on for Sporting, replacing Pablo Sarabia.

What a finish. He just needed to hold his run.

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

A beautiful, beautiful finish, but it won't count!

Kylian Mbappe is way offside as he receives the ball but he takes the ball past Thibaut Courtois with a delightful dummy before the flag goes up.

  16. Postpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

Gabriel Jesus has come out firing in this second half. He opens his body up and tries to curl it towards the top right corner but it doesn't come off.

Sporting have a rare chance a few moments later but Bruno Tabata's effort takes a deflection before Ederson gathers it in. That counts as a shot on target though!

  17. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

The last time PSG lost an away match in the Champions League when leading at half-time was in March 2001 v Deportivo (lost 3-4). In 17 matches since in that situation they've won 14 and drawn three.

  18. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Real Madrid 0-1 PSG (0-2 agg)

PSG are happy to sit in now and let Real Madrid have the ball and come at them.

Real win a corner and it comes out to Federico Valverde some 35 yards from goal and he cracks of a first-time shot that looks goalbound all the way until it bounces off the head of a defender.

Liz: If Gabriel Jesus's arm is offside, how is he offside? I feel like I don't understand the law anymore. He was completely level. Fortunately it doesn't matter but VAR is giving everyone ammunition with nonsense like that.

  20. 'Quiet and redundant'published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2022

Man City 0-0 Sporting (5-0 agg)

    Izzy Christiansen
England and Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Ilkay Gundogan was a little bit quiet and redundant for me by his own standards in the first half.
