Riyad Mahrez shouldn't have gone for the top right corner, it's a simple as that. If he had picked his head up, he'd have seen that Phil Foden was free to his left and he's got a tap-in. Pep Guardiola is going berzerk on the touchline for that exact reason.

Should be 3-0!

City break again and Riyad Mahrez is set on the right side of the box. He fires his shot but slices it slightly and into the side-netting.

Oooof. Breathe again City.

Ederson plays a low ball to Ruben Dias, who is tackled by Karim Benzema to send the ball to Vinicius Junior. His pass back towards Benzema cannons off Diaz's boot and deflects onto the base of the post.

The flag then goes up. But for a moment that was panic stations.

That's what Real Madrid need to do - what they're doing now - just keep hold of the ball for a few minutes. Every time they've had it so far they've given it away and invited Manchester City to keep the pressure on.

Real Madrid look sluggish and slow in possession. Manchester City are controlling everything at the minute.

The City movement is something else.

John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko are both coming inside, receiving the ball, laying it off to rotating midfielders and forwards. It's a merry-go-round and Real are completely bamboozled by it.

Real Madrid looked like they had a bit of a glass jaw in the quarter-final second leg against Chelsea in The Bernabeu when they went 3-0 down before recovering but Manchester City have inflicted a couple of very heavy blows here and the Spanish giants are reeling.
