More from David Moyes on giving Daniel Chesters his debut: "There's nothing better than getting a young player a game. You can see their face - the nervousness but also the excitement.

"You can imagine how it feels for their families, to see their son or whoever get on the pitch. It's a great feeling. It's one of the pleasures of being a football manager."

On Tottenham next: "You never know. Tottenham went with a different team tonight. We wanted to get some momemtum but you never know how it works in this job. We have to get ready and prepare for the weekend."

West Ham boss David Moyes to BT Sport: "It was tight in the first half. I thought we deserved to go in front but they had one or two half-chances as well. But getting the goals quite quickly was great for us and allowed us to make a few changes and relax a bit more.

"We don't want to lose any goals. We had a couple of really good blocks late on and a few scary moments in the first half. We don't want that to happen but the players deserve it. The goal just before half time was important.

"We have to go to Genk and Venice. This is the bit everyone is looking forward to - the away trips for the fans, the players and the families as well. From that point of view it's still new, still fresh and we're really enjoying it."

Were the set-piece goals planned? "I'd love to say they were but they weren't. We don't all work on set-pieces all the time. Of course we take interest and care in them but you need people who want to head the ball.

"When you have players who can deliver for them it gives them a chance to score. All the work you do, you need those ingredients."

More from Jarrod Bowen: "My strengths are running in behind. I have a turn of pace so you have to play to your strengths. In the first half Andriy Yarmolenko came into that pocked and left space in behind on the right so I think we got down there a lot. It was just adapting my game to where I was playing.

"We knew we needed, well not needed a second goal, but at 1-0 they created some nice chances. Issa Diop scored the header then I scored just after so we could enjoy the ball a bit more I think.

"It's unreal. In every competition if the team changes everyone knows what the standard is and what the manager expects. You can see in the performance tonight it was a convincing 3-0 victory but we have a big squad and a whole season ahead. Everyone is ready to play their part. You can see the players who don't play as much come in like tonight and do really well.

"The main thing is topping the group. The home games is vitally important. We want to win away too. If we can stay strong, keep the confidence then I think teams will be fearing us. We could be the team to look out for. We're only a few games away from a big cup run.

"We beat Everton on the weekend and we have built on that again. We'll keep pushing. We're winning games so that makes the players keep wanting to put the performances in."

West Ham's Jarrod Bowen speaking to BT Sport on scoring: "It's good. I should have had one in the first half. Even the one I scored I probably didn't finish it right but I said before the game I bet I'll score when I scuff it! But if you don't shoot you don't score. I'm buzzing with my first Europa League goal."

On playing through the centre: "Up front I feel like you can run in behind and play in both sides. You can go down the left and the right or drop off.

"I feel like I'm improving in that position. Being a target man is not my game at all but I think wherever I just love playing."

On his journey to the Europa League: "It means everything, looking back and playing non-league... I remember scoring my first goal against Alfreton at 16/17. Now to score in the Europa League is a dream. I'm loving every minute."

West Ham are only the second English side to win each of their first three group games in a single Europa League campaign without conceding, after Spurs in 2013-14.

No Premier League defender has scored more goals in all club competitions in 2021 than West Ham's Craig Dawson (5 - level with John Stones).

Aaron Cresswell has assisted eight goals from dead-ball situations in all competitions since the start of last season, the most of any Premier League player.

West Ham defender Ben Johnson speaking to BT: "It's a great feeling. We work tirelessly as a back four and do a lot of drills in training. It's second nature now really. We are compact and we work as a back four. You can get drawn out but we keep our heads and respect teams. We were solid, strong and we're looking good so far.

"I think we have three tough games left. We know what we're up against so we'll keep battling on.

"When you're out of the team you have to be ready for these opportunities. You only get a day or so to prepare your head. I feel great and good that I'm back in the team. I'm enjoying my football.

"The [fans] see that there's a good team this season and one that with give 100% always, but we will keep improving and keep enjoying these games. We're not used to this so we will relish the opportunities we get."

It's been a wonderful start to the season for them and they are well on course to progress in the Europa League.

Mike Tresor has been very good for Genk since coming on. He's got quick feet and he's nippy.

He uses both of those qualities to gain some space in the box and his shot is INCHES wide after taking a slight deflection.
